If we can persuade 100,000 activists to each create a list of 100 voters, we will win the next election in a landslide. So would the Libertarians.
Fat chance.

""Democrats.com" blaah!"
While we generally don't give their propaganda the light of day, given that this very thing was being discussed on Rush today and given that it seems the Democrats might actually be thinking of giving this a try, we are going to let this one go. Thanks, AM
"In 2000, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney lost the Presidential election, both nationally and in Florida. But five Republican "justices" on the U.S. Supreme Court declared Bush the winner by throwing out 175,000 uncounted Florida votes. This was a crime against Democracy."Which way do these morons want it? First they insist that Bush lost. Of course, they neglect the Electoral College and the fact that we do not elect our leaders by popular vote."George W. Bush and Dick Cheney have illegally occupied the White House since January 20, 2001. In that short time, here's what they have done with the help of the Republican Congress:" "Announced plans to invade Iraq with 250,000 troops, without Congressional authorization or debate Threatened seven nations with nuclear war Promised America "perpetual war" Let Osama Bin Laden escape from Afghanistan Failed to catch the US weapons scientist responsible for the Anthrax terrorist attacks Attemped military coup d'etat to overthrow populist Venezuelan president Unaffordable tax cuts for corporations and the rich Returned to massive budget deficits by cutting taxes for the rich Raided Social Security despite firm promises Cut health care despite firm promises Made global warming worse by opposing conservation and promoting oil drilling Undermined efforts to protect clean air, water, and national parks Sabotaged key environmental and arms control treaties Helped Enron steal billions from California consumers Secret Energy Task Force Established an unconstitutional shadow government without notifying any Democrats Cabinet of millionaires Iran-contra criminals rehired Detention without charges Surveillance without warrants Right-wing judges Restrictions on abortion Had enough? So have we!
Then they make the assertion that Bush has "illegally occupied the White House" -- President Bush has not broken any laws; he was elected president through the standard electoral process.
Then they attack the Supreme Court; once again, because they were unable to get their way, they insist that what the court did was illegal, but once again, they neglect to point out what the court did that was so illegal nor what laws were broken by SCOTUS.
Then they jump on policies undertaken since Bush's election. They insist that plans have been announced to invade Iraq with a quarter of a million troops. Will someone please tell me where these plans are, and when and where they were announced?
Then they claim seven nations were threatened with nuclear war. Once again, show me a threat - I've not seen one. Have you? I'm sure that if we did threaten anyone with nuclear war that the UN would have done quite a bit to denounce those threats, but I've heard not a peep out of the Security Council about a US nuclear threat.
Then they say that we "let Osama bin Laden escape from Afghanistan." First off, we do not know if Osama is alive or dead, and secondly, would it matter, considering that the terrorism war is supposed to be "illegal?"
Then they point to other nebulous items that the President is supposed to have done/not done over the remaining timeframe of his tenure to date. Will you make up your minds? Do you want him to be president or not? Do you want him to do the job or not? Do you want him gone?
My God - this is the most schizophrenic message I've seen from a group of Democrats since the Carter era.
Bottom line - Bush won. Bush has led the country well since taking office. Bush has kept a cool head under the pressure we've all been under since last September. The war is proceeding well. And now that the economy is finally starting to try to stablize itself, you want to blame that on the president as well. (never mind that the seeds were sown not by the Administration, but by the dot coms over the last eight years or so - what do you expect when Wall Street gives money to companies to sell ice cubes on the internet?) May I presume that the upcoming baseball players' strike will be the fault of the administration as well?
Get over it, and move on. The rest of the country has.
