John Stone's department gets sued yet again. Makes one wonder how many people now wish they had signed that recall petition.

As a former Deputy in NM when a suit was brought against a deputy and monetary damages were paid by the department that amount of money was placed on the deputies personal credit report as a default.
How does Stone manage to stay fiscal after so much trouble ? Or have they changed that procedure Capn??

Jefferson County might as well hand a blank check to the victim now and let him fill it in. Any number with seven or fewer figures with the first being 5 or less will be a better deal than a jury would award.
