Attention Conservatives. Buffett is not clean.

Note that he is hatching this news in America's leading liberal rag. Note that he is firing a warning shot at a leading Democrat.

Why?

In nearly all opinions I have read of Buffett I have seen a near cult following support his every word.

The real Buffet is as conservatism_IS_compassion and dts32041 alluded to, a selfish leftist hell bent on getting his and getting laws passed to benefit he, himself and his.

This editorial piece was a PR campaign launch that gave an appearance of moral consensus and support for his Moody's rating service to weaken his business rivals and to allow his many other business to rape and pillage their assets.

This is hardcore hardball business tactics in its most brutal aspect.

Treat him for what he is, a selfish megalomaniac in the mold of a current day J.P. Morgan, a brutal dictator who engenders hate and avoids peasant uprisings by hiding behind (and controlling) leading Democrats who have brainwashed the masses that they alone represent the little people.

Lieberman may have started this mess, along with Clinton. But let's face it, the GOP have been running things for 2 years now. Bush is the one who appointed the current SEC leadership - is something is not done soon, I can only assume they want to keep the status quo.

"I don't believe in Congress setting accounting rules. But the Senate opened the floodgates in 1994 to an anything-goes reporting system, and it should close them now. Rather than holding hearings and fulminating, why doesn't the Senate just free the standards board by rescinding its 1994 action?"

And here we see the foundation of the "Clinton economy". An economy built on a foundation of fraud, greed, and political corruption. A fraudulent run up in the markets and the inevitable fall in which mostly small investors, read peoples retirement dreams, have gone up in smoke.
