The world is currently watching how the fear of growing crime and illegal immigration, combined with voter apathy, are sapping the political power of the leftist parties that have dominated European politics for the past half-century.
The recent rise of nationalism in almost all the Western European countries is one of the clear indications of a major shift to the right in a string of European nations.
Leftist, socialist-oriented governments have held sway over much of Europe since the end of World War II. Of the forces now gathering to erode their strength, not the least is immigration, both legal and illegal, along with thousands of asylum seekers and the rise in crime that many believe to be its consequence.
The closely related issue centers on the European continent's Muslim population, which has doubled in the last 10 years, from 8 million to 16 million, along with an influx of hundreds of thousands of immigrants from Eastern Europe, including the former Soviet republics.
As Roman Catholic Cardinal Giacomo Biffi of Bologna, Italy, said recently, Europe is degenerating into a "culture of nothing, which would be unable to drive back the ideological assault of Islam."
Leftist European governments, whose leaders built their popularity on the votes of immigrants, combined with voter apathy, cannot change their traditional pro-immigration principles and can find no other answer to critics of their policies but to label their opponents as "racists" and "fascists."
In Austria, for instance, this ploy was used against Joerg Haider, who was called a "fascist" by his opponents because he strongly opposed illegal immigration into his country and once described employment policies in Nazi Germany prior to WW II as "orderly."
Later he changed his mind and recently said he intends to run for the leadership of his nation next year. Mr. Haider's populist Freedom Party, which already is in a coalition with Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel's ruling Conservative Party, has said it would stop all immigration, regardless of country of origin.
In Italy, the National Alliance, a member of the coalition government of the nation's conservative prime minister, media magnate Silvio Berlusconi, finished third with 12 percent in last year's national elections. Mr. Berlusconi himself was labeled a "nationalist" during his election campaign, perhaps because he is a big fan of former U.S. President Ronald Reagan.
And in Germany, the "Third Way" administration of Gerhardt Schroeder is facing a tough challenge from the center-right in national elections later this year. In Denmark, the free-market Venstre (Liberal) Party gained power on a platform of proposing strong curbs on immigration.
In Switzerland, Christophe Blocher of the right-wing People's Party won 23 percent of the vote on a similar platform. In the Netherlands, long noted for its liberal tendencies on issues from drugs to sex, the colorful and controversial Pim Fortuyn, murdered last May, also based his campaign on an anti-immigration platform and criticized Islam as a "backward culture."
Of course, these problems are European and have to be resolved by European nations. However, Europeans are not alone and are in company with others facing the exact same issues. America's continuing importation of massive numbers of poor, uneducated, welfare-oriented and dependant immigrants from Third World nations very soon will add political pressure to the social life of this country.
If this situation materializes in the near future in the U.S., politicians will squeeze the incomes of those Americans who hold the shrinking supply of productive jobs that have not yet moved offshore.
In other words, we could soon have the same problems that Europeans are currently having, and up until now those politicians who rely on the votes of immigrants do not have any idea how to handle the issue.
And the same solutions...deport the fundamentalists and illegals
Ashcroft makes a strat by enforcing a law on the books fo 50 years that requires registration of address change of non citizens.
Meanwhile Dashole is proposing to recognize illegals.

Quite handy for the lefties, greens and femisocialists to use islamist muslims in government sponsored racism against white men and young girls.
They don't have to worry about productivity, crime and diversity gang rapes. They only bother to keep the lie alive, ruining the future and brainwash the sheeple.
Would be interesting though, if statistics about crime and rape commited by immigrants were to be presented.
That together with facts how they sponsor their islamist "business" activities along with their attendance of universities and how it's funded...
A very inspired quote indeed...and not just for Europe, but for all of the Western world.
The political left has spent 30 years deconstructing Western culture and Western man. The idea that such a collective entity exists is considered the worst sort of racism by the lefties.
Multiculturalism and its related PC doctrines are now the only real ideologies of the Western world. But these are not stable definitions. If Western man has no beliefs, no ideals, no sense of place, ancestors, and history...then western civilization is ripe for the plucking.
The lefties believed that it was socialism that would do the plucking (ie: that western man, bereft of culture, would eventually evolve into a socialist nanny state a la Grimsci's philosophy). What they could not have predicted was that their destruction of western culture would be a green light for Islam.
The 20th century was "The Age of Ideology"...when the great conflicts were about competing philosophies. The 21st century will be "The Age of Demographic/Cultural Clashes". At the current time, absent a vast reawakening, Western culture is at a significant disadvantage.

Now this mugging is in the form of immigration of Muslims in whom they don't know if they can trust. So now they want to run, hide, and seek protection.

I think Germany went 30 years without making a comedy in the film industry after WW II. This lack of humor may indicate how battered the German communal conscience is from their liberal government. The Germans have an enormous guilt complex because of the Holocaust which few living Germans contributed to but it is still a liberal point of contention and they can use it as a weapon. (The slavery / reparations issue is similar in the US.)
So as long as liberals have guilt they can manipulate the masses!
Then when they destroy Western civilization, they end up back in dire poverty and Germany will look like the places they came from. They can't build up their own country and can only destroy others.
