No, I thought you were going to find it, the one non-theological measurement that would differentiate the two actions, but it was skipped. Purposeful actions that either promote or deter life are good and evil respectively.

To elaborate in order to avoid misunderstanding, selfishly promoting life includes not just preying upon what's left unprotected, like children. It must includes the principle of aligning your actions to behaviors that enable one to prosper according to his nature, as both a social and fairly rational being. Child molestation degrades society, and a degraded society is not in one's rational self interests.

The pedophile, if rational, should be able to see that it is not possible for a child to consent. He should see that not only will it damage his self-worth, but that it will greatly damage the child's because the child is used without the power of consent.
