I have more questions though---
I don't want to be gruesome here---
On one hand, I can see how birds could carry bits of flesh in and around brush that could be a reason of how a small amount of flesh got there. Nevertheless, I nagging suspicion that maybe the scene was something more macabre, like cut out pieces of flesh that were placed there. I wonder if it was that way?

Angels and Insects?
(Perhaps the most disgusting shock I've ever experienced in a movie.)

I'm not sure...Dusek was talking about coyotes and such...or maybe it is something they have seen before..and since.

I really don't think so, This body was placed there - and from what I understand, quite hidden. Not the act of a panicked killer - but of someone who took the time to hide their crime.
You would be amazed at how fast animals can dessimate and scatter a corps. The Bundy case is a good example - some of the victims remains were never found in their entirety.
