You remember the miraculous recovery of the economy right after S(l)ick Willie testified before the grand jury? If it weren't for that, he may well not have survived.
At the same time, not only was Greenspan in the midst of pumping massive amounts of money into the markets through interest rate cuts, but most of the companies that are accused of cooking their books started cooking their books.

After talking to my friends in Manchester a few days ago they said Blair is in serious trouble over there with the people. Looking to get rid of him. Who would be a strong contender over there if Blair is out?

Gracias for referral. Other than small investors being hurt, couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of liars.
Time for GOP to play hardball with Dodd, Lieberman, Corzine.

Rubin was actually out this weekend bashing Bush and his policies and talking Bill and Al up and how all of their work has come undone. "Yeah Rubin...it sure has"

"Fasten your seat belts everybody, we are at the top of the next lift-hill!"
Seat belts? Try lower the lap bars. Seat belts allow no air time and stomach butterflies and there will be plenty of those to go around.

All it will take to scare them off is some baseless allegation (probably already being prepped for release).

I agree. That is if they don't suffer from "Electionitis", and lose their balls.

Unfortunately, GOP leaders cannot lose what they never had.

nothing but smoke screens because August the 14th is drawing near. 14 August (or the days leading up to it) will be the nail in the coffin that could very well take the Dow down to 7000. The NASDAQ will likely be hit even harder. 1300 is still way too high for the current P/E's. Somewhere between 850 and 1000 would be more in line with the fundamentals.
As ugly as this is, it could go a lot lower very soon.

Dow down 150 right now. Been balancing between 150 and 200.

Actually, Enron might be related. I believe Citi-group was their biggest creditor, no?

WorldCom trading at $.10 cents a share right now. Probably taken off NASDAQ by end of week.
