The letters today were great, weren't they? I always enjoy the Monday mail. Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday.

Got YOU beat! Saturday and Sunday--Temps in the mid-90's, humidity in the 80% range, and dewpoints at 82 for both days. Heat index was up around 115. (We live down in Montgomery, incidentally...). Any time the dewpoint gets above 70 it's time to turn on the a/c. We were in a parade in Belle Plaine on Saturday (HOT!!) and performed at a parish festival on Sunday. After the performance, we went home, changed our clothes, and went to a baseball game. I really FELT for those players. They had to wear full uniforms! But we won. 11-8.

Back then is when I was in the front lines. Those were heady times alright. The only thing I hated more than bubba+bubbette was the flame wars. Most of the time I tried to redirect that energy into something positive. Once in '99 I got downright miffed and posted a classic RANT.

Now I just post jokes on Canteen threads and hit on the purty wimmin.

Burnout is a bummer.

Thanks for the "pretty". Crazy Monday - overslept, tons of Monday morning crises at the office, etc. Don't you just get a big lump in your throat and start sniffling when you read the Monday Morning Mail Call? I love these guys!
