Rintense: Thanks for the weekend edition of the 'Dose'!!

All: Time for action!

We all need to call Dick Gephardt's office tomorrow and let him know (via his administrative assistants) that it is UNCONSCIONABLE for him to use the shaky financial markets as a political ploy to SCARE people into voting for Democrats in November! Encourage him to be a STATESMAN for a change rather than a partisan hack!

Believe me -- 50 to a 100 calls will get his attention. CAVEATS: 1.) Do NOT let the admin transfer you to the comment line -- comment lines are nothing but black holes, i.e.,messages go in but are never heard again!
2.) Remind the admin that you are a registered voter and will remember Gephardt's behavior in 2002 and 2004!!

Dick Gephardt: 202/225-2671

Remember: Gephardt will continue his scare tactics unless/until he believes that he will suffer politically!

I have to tell you all....my oldest daughter works at the Sheriff's Department in the crummy downtown part of my hometown, and the other day as she was leaving for home this man came up to her and asked her if she was registered to vote and she told him she was. Then he asked her if she was a registered 'Rat and she said, no she wasn't. He told her that it would only take a few minutes to make the change. She told him no thanks.

My reason for telling you all is....please be aware that the other side never rests. It's pretty scary.

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaa .. that won't work .. The Dems don't care about the little people

HOWEVER, if we explain to them the if the markets keep falling because they are scaring folks ..

Then that means that DNC funds will start to dry up

I wonder how many UNION 401k's lost alot of money

It's bed time; however, I wanted to leave you with some results NOT shared in the summary article for this weekend's predictably biased Newsweek poll. [NOTE: I had to get this information from pollingreport.com; Newsweek refuses to publish raw data from its polls -- typical of this RAT rag. If you subscribe to Newsweek, I strongly recommend that you cancel your subscription!!]

POLL QUESTION:
"How much of the blame, if any, do you think each of the following deserves for recent corporate scandals like Enron, WorldCom and Tyco? What about [see below]? Does this deserve a lot of the blame, some, only a little, or none of the blame for the recent corporate scandals?"

Corporate executives
A lot 69% Some 18% Only a Little 5% None 2% Don't Know 6%

Corporate boards of directors
A lot 59% Some 25% Only a Little 7% None 3% Don't Know 6%

Accounting firms
A lot 49% Some 29% Only a Little 8% None 6% Don't Know 8%

A decline in moral and ethical standards in society
A lot 39% Some 27% Only a Little 15% None 11% Don'tKnow 8%

Government agencies that regulate U.S. business and finance
A lot 35% Some 38% Only a Little 12% None 7% Don't Know 8%

Wall Street investment and brokerage firms
A lot 33% Some 33% Only a Little 13% None 10% Don'tKnow 11%

Former President Clinton and his Administration
A lot 25% Some 29% Only a Little 19% None 20% Don't Know 7%

The U.S. Congress
A lot 20% Some 38% Only a Little 20% None 15% Don't Know 7%

President Bush and his Administration
A lot 18% Some 29% Only a Little 21% None 25% Don't Know 7%

Note who the pollees blamed the LEAST: President Bush and his Administration. Contrary to PC liberal spin, Newsweek discovered that more pollees hold Clinton/admin responsible for current corporate problems than Pres Bush/admin. Of course, Newsweek did NOT include a word of this in their article.

To both protest this purposeful distortion of polling results and DEMAND unbiased polling/news coverage in the future, call the following Newsweek editors at 212/445-4000:

Editor: Mark Whitaker
Managing Editor: Jon Meacham
Assistant Managing Editors: Kathleen Deveny, Alexis Gelber, Evan Thomas
Editor/General Manager, Newsweek.msnbc.com: Michael Rogers
[NOTE: If the editors have moved on or been reassigned, simply ask for their replacement.]

WE MUST HOLD LIBERAL POLITICANS AND MEDIA HUCKSTERS ACCOUNTABLE. If we do not, they will surely destroy our wonderful president!

Will do but I always have trouble b/c they ask me where I am calling from and I assume they want to know what city in his state, so I just say Richmond. I do live in Richmond and I figure there is a Richmond in every state.
