Shortly after the explosion at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995, an "all points bulletin" went out over the Oklahoma City police radio band alerting law enforcement officers to be on the lookout for a "late model, almost new, Chevrolet, full-size pickup, brown in color with tinted windows and a smoke-colored bug deflector on the front."

Personally I don't think ME terrorists did it and that's why they didn't claim credit. Too much credible evidence points to the U.S. Gov. having done it.

The two explanations are not mutually exclusive. ME terrorists could have been involved, at the behest of, with the encouragement of, or at least with the knowledge of the U.S. government or elements thereof. Clinton's conduct suggests to me he is hiding guilty knowledge.

Nude dude, you should have taken your lumps and backed out.
You haven't been around long enough to judge me or anyone else on this forum.

There are many successful politicians on this forum, and there are some of the best political minds in the country on this forum.

My argument with you is based on your idea that a preemptive or a retaliatory strike against Iraq would be for the sole purpose of gaining popularity by the Bush administration.
THAT is the epitome of naivete!

I agree absolutely. It is much in the style of rogue gov. agencies and almost the sum total of the Clintoons style to use other people and use or manipulate existing circumstances when possible rather than launch a project from scratch to do their bloody deeds.
Less risk. Less cost.

On this I can agree with you. ME's would have been quick to claim the action.
Too much credible evidence points to the U.S. Gov. having done it. My mind simply cannot accept this, unless you count McVeigh as part of the "U.S. govt."

why McVeigh would allow himself to be executed without mentioning (in his defense) the participation of Iraquis (whom he had fought against in the Persian Gulf War)?

Didn't I read somewhere that, after he returned from the service, McVeigh went completely anti-American on this subject and was siding with Iraq, i.e. being against the sanctions, etc.?

Thanks. That sounds exactly like the swill that spills from the mouths of Islamists, Marxist university professors and their ilk.

GEN. SCALES: Well, the information I have from the FBI is that the -- of the different groups that have claimed responsibility, I think it's eight groups claimed responsibility for this incident and seven of them claim to be from the Middle Eastern countries, so it would just be logical to me that they would ask for Arabic-speaking translators.

Then again this excerpt taken from post #108 which is from an interview at the time says 7 ME groups DID claim credit. So our speculations now seem moot don't they?

My mind simply cannot accept this, unless you count McVeigh as part of the "U.S. govt."

No, counting McVeigh as the Gov. wasn't my thinking. Apparently you have read little on this subject or you just don't want to consider any of what you read as credible. That's your perogative. I've spent 40-50 hours reading as many articles as I could find on the OKC bombing a couple of years ago. It's not hard to find. It does require the effort to read it. And it does require an open mind to separate credible stories from suspect stories and an ability and will to look for verification. I suspect you just don't want to know anything that calls into question your belief that government is basicly good and can't commit evil acts against its own citizens. You have lots of company. I sensed that this story stunk from the time I saw it unfold on TV. Post #108 shows the essence of how it broke on those first four days. It still smells to me just from reading that nevermind all the dozens of expose type stories since then.

Believe what you want.

I have no doubt that there are many people involved in the OKC bombing.........my complaint was that the Bush Administration was being accused of pulling this story out to gain votes....... where, in the article, is that supported?

It ain't, but Bush should be pulling it out.

And Waco and Ruby Ridge.

'Corse Ruby Ridge happened when his Dad was President.

Plans for the Waco envasion had to be then, too.

Ever see the movie The Wannsee Conference? Heydrich says to his fellow SS men early in the movie, "The matter hides itself, because no one can imagine it." A lot of people are unable to imagine U.S. government involvement in the OKC bombing.

Who was he going to tell anything to, anyway? The FBI-controlled media mouthpieces allowed to interview him? I doubt we ever heard anything from McVeigh not approved from Washington first.

Yeah, "they" said he confessed. "They" said he wanted to die and get it over with, or some such.

The lap dog media covered it up too, and you would say that this is Bush propaganda?

I wouldn't say it is Bush propaganda, but I do wonder why he has not opened up an investigation.

It seems Presidents are above the law.

I hoped that President Bush would go after the "wrong doers", but he said let's just go forward.

I don't like it!

If they wanted to prove the 'solo bomber" myth, all they need to do is release the CCTV security video tapes but they won't ! Why ? I think the answer is obvious.

. And the government's handling of the case shouldn't be taken lightly, either.

This is not a place to goof around. Many people have spent years investigating this, and don't appreciate disruptors.

I hope you don't think I am goofing around.

I am furious with MY Government that is letting this go.

Like a typical Texan, what George W. is doing is from the heart, and his political standing makes not one whoop in hell to him when measured against the welfare of this country.

Dang, Cob. I love you, but I do not think anyone is above justice.

Why hasn't he siced Ashcrort on the Clintons?

I do not want to move along and go forward.

This same thing has had me baffled. I know McVeigh was a good soldier and should have had a break before attending Special Forces School, but to get that pissed to side with Iraquis, is hard to believe. As my late father would say, "there's some $hit in the game".

With such a low self-image you may want to consider leaving Free Republic then. We don't like people like you either.

I do.

I don't mind people with different opinions.

What are you afraid of?
