Gore Accuses Bush Admin. of Lying

MORRISON, Tenn. July 20 — Former presidential candidate Al Gore accused the Bush administration Saturday of lying to Americans about the nation's economy.

At a campaign event for a congressional candidate, Gore told Democrats that electing Lincoln Davis could be the difference in continuing the Bush administration's economic policies.

The Bush administration has "lied about the future liabilities they have put on our shoulders as taxpayers," Gore said.

The former vice president prompted a cheer when he said: "I don't care what anybody says. I think Bill Clinton and I did a damn good job."

The recent spate of corporate corruption cases reflects the administration's policies and its appointees, who are supposed to police big business, Gore said.

He compared the administration's handling of the economy to business decisions that led to the collapse of Enron, saying Bush is creating a huge deficit.

"It's going to lead to bigger deficits than when the first Bush was there," Gore said.

He said the administration should "completely scrap its economic plan and its team on Monday ... start over from scratch and start rebuilding this economy."

Gore, who says he is undecided about another presidential race in 2004, endorsed Davis in the Aug. 1 Democratic primary for the 4th Congressional District.

Former aerospace company owner Fran Marcum is also seeking the Democratic nomination. Former Safety Commissioner Mike Greene and Tullahoma alderman Janice Bowling are seeking the Republican nomination.

Incumbent Rep. Van Hilleary, a Republican, is instead running for governor.

The rural district stretches from Alabama to Kentucky and includes counties that elected Gore to the U.S. House in 1976.

The only corporate books that were crooked when Bush got elected were companies based in Texas, and had ties to Bush - Harken, Halliburon, and Enron. I know, Worldcom is in Mississippi, but Miss is a province of Texas.

(sarcasm off)makes more sense to Americans

One thing Algore is missing is getting his wife to gain weight. For each 10 pounds she gains, he gains 1 percentage point in the polls because.....(drum roll) ..everyone loves a big tipper.
OK, now you can groan.

He said the administration should "completely scrap its economic plan and its team on Monday ... start over from scratch and start rebuilding this economy."

He won't say how, but we know he means with a big fat tax increase in the face of a bear market for stocks and a weak economy. That makes HIM the liar, by omission, and a complete economic idiot

It wouldn't surprise me if she does. I believe that she has been banned, hopefully temporarily. After all, everyone needs a little diversion.

To the Democrats it's all about tax cuts.

They are doing their level best to try and grab what for them is the Holy Grail: Finding a majority who will believe that tax cuts are bad for the economy and that high taxes mean a strong economy.

If they can sell that, we will be officially a socialist nation.

And last but not least, they did a good job of teaching me to hate. I never thought that I could hate with the intensity that I hate a democrat, bill clintion, the main stream media [dan rather, et. al.], hillary clinton, and al gore, but I found that I can.

Me too. I hate 'em all. More even than they hate America.

I'll bet he delivered this laugh line with a straight face, too. Gore gets funnier every day.
