I do not think that back room deals are in the making. This representive has made such an a$$ out of himself on national TV that no one would believe what he has to say. He has convinced the people of America, with the help of our national tv networks, that he is wearing a tin foil hat. That everyone is out to get him, he babbles and babbles. Sorry Rush, this time you are wrong. He has made himself out to be an Idiot. Maybe he was to begin with. Either way, a few years in Leavenworth, playing golf, working out, having gormet dinners, having sex with the partner of your choice, being able to take off that discusting hair piece. "Do not hurt those animals that live there or PITA will be after you too" It sorta sounds like a life he might want. No one makes a deal with a perceived or actual Idiot. Hooah!!

The House Ethics Committee voted unanimously to expel Traficant. He had 30 minutes to rebut on Thursday, on CSPAN. He called out committee members by name, to their faces. Ohioan LaTourette, a former prosecutor, was unable to look Traficant in the face as he outlined serious charges of prosecutorial misconduct.

Stephanie Tubbs Jones, also a former prosecutor, from Cleveland, where Traficant's federal trial was held sat frozen, like a statue of The Great Toad Queen...she KNOWS the trial was a set up and she knows Traficant knows she knows. (News today, a key prosecution witness admitted publically that the FBI intimidated him into giving false testimony.)

By the end of his 30 minutes he may not have persuaded the committee to stay their recommendation until his legal appeals have been heard...but he took the FBI, the committee aand Congress as a whole to the woodshed like these pompous asses never heard before.

His basic message was, "If you can do this to me think how badly you are screwing Joe Sixpack."

He told them, "The average American fears their government, and that turns into distrust, and distrust turns into hatred." He said, "When the citizens start to hate you (gov) then you better watch out!" Then he said, "I hate this government but I love my country." If he gets to speak before the whole House it will be one for the books.

(Addendum: he blamed clinton/Reno by name for coming after him for political payback and mentioned the cover up of the Chinese money.)
