Even in the gifted program I was enrolled in, I felt like an outsider. The other students in the gifted program were elitist, whereas I felt that my innate intelligence was merely an attribute, and that how one uses what one is given in life is the true measure of success and worth. As a result, I was ostracized by my supposed peers. It's always been a mystery to me why smart and/or so-called good-looking people consider themselves better than others. Maybe that's a sign that I was raised right.
I may as well have been home-schooled, because the only lesson I learned from public school were how much I hated public school.
After 3 years of parochial school, I went to a public school and dropped out. Body there, mind exploring the universe.
I may as well have been home-schooled, because the only lesson I learned from public school were how much I hated public school. Ditto. My kids have it so much better than I did, thank God!
