Yes, this is who both parties have chosen to do business with. And when challenged the braintrusts on this forum suggested that corporations knew what was best for our economy several years ago. Now that the NASDAQ and the Dow are under severe downward pressure from malfeasance by major corporations, it would interesting to watch those defenses trotted out again.
Corporations DO NOT always have this nation's best interests at heart. They consider their corporation's interests first last and always.

True conservatism includes the strength of will and nads to say "no" to corporations or communists whenever those at either extreme cross certain boundaries. Some here would imply that to challenge the corporate world is somehow "leftist" however look at the example of Teddy Roosevelt, hardly a leftist... myself, I am the sort of rightist that panty waist 3rd way "Conservatives" and other faux rightists fear the most.... I'm not a fascist and yet I'm utterly dedicated to the freedom of the middle class, property ownership, strong nationalism, strong and proactive individual, local, state, and national defense and Civil Defense, and, in general, policies that are utterly and properly selfish in favor US / Western interests. Never confuse doing the right thing with doing the economically "bottom line" thing. That's the trap that many of those who falsely identify themselves as being on the right have fallen into since the end of WW-II.
