A similar situation exists in the area I live in. Most folks vote anti-firearm, but most folks secretly own one.

The success of those in Malibu should be used as an example for the less fortunate in the depths of LA. Public spiritied folks could fund a "free bus to the beach" program to ensure throngs of the lovely teenage crowd from places like Watts and Compton could take advantage of the sand and waves, while getting to meet the homeowners there.

I love the smell of libral hypocrisy in the, well, anytime. It smells like, well, it has for as long as I can remember.

Damn, I was hoping for something witty to come out.

I just saw a story on this on the Fox Report. I hate siding with the liberals, but I think they have a point. I just find there to be something quite fun though in watching them get what they have foistered on the rest of us, with their efforts, for years.

I saw this on TV tonight; man, they are HOT. One woman said, "They go to the bathroom here and we do NOT have toilets for them."

The fight escalated earlier this month when record mogul and huge Democratic Party moneybags David Geffen, along with the city of Malibu, filed suit against the California Coastal Commission (CCC) and other parties over access to the beach across his property.

After reading Bernard Goldberg's Bias, it's much easier to understand the liberal mindset. Liberals take a position they feel is ideologically correct in general, but are loathe to follow it if that would affect them personally.

Goldberg surmises they have some latent guilt about their success. I think they're just hypocrites who want to tell others how they should live and think, but won't tolerate anyone dictating the same to them.

One good example in the book is a conversation Goldberg had with a TV executive. The executive expressed a wish to hire more minorities in the upper levels of TV production. Goldberg suggested that the executive could resign his own position with the stipulation that a minority be hired in his place. He responded with a contemptuous chuckle.

Most of these people could probably be described as 'homeless advocates'. But let's see how much compassion they show for the homeless if a group of them move into their garage.

Easements agreed to before Nollan still must be honored . . . But they first must be adopted by an entity, either public or private

Perhaps, in exchange for some hefty donations to some property rights groups, the easements could be un-adopted.

I watched a report on the Malibu controversy last nite. Pretty funny... one gal who has a big house on the beach complained that there were no toilets for all the beachcombers/sunbathers & the scene has become intolerable. Hey! Californians pay HIGH taxes! Why can't the county/state put a few sani-huts up/down the expanse of beach? Or, hey! BUILD a few facilities! Right there! In front of Geffen's house. Or better yet, in front of Streisand's beach mansion!
