FEMA Preparing for Mass Destruction
Newsmax: The Insider Report email 07/14/2002

Posted on 07/14/2002 7:45:49 PM PDT by iowaboy

FEMA, the federal agency charged with disaster preparedness, is engaged in a crash effort to prepare for multiple mass destruction attacks on U.S. cities, NewsMax has learned.

FEMA is already preparing for nuclear, biological and chemical attacks against U.S. cities, including the possibility of multiple attacks with mass destruction weapons.

The agency has already notified vendors, contractors and consultants that it needs to be prepared to handle the logistics of aiding millions of displaced Americans from urban areas that may be attacked.

The agency plans to create emergency, makeshift cities that could house hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Americans who may have to flee their urban homes if their cities are attacked.

Ominously, FEMA has been given a deadline of having the cities ready to go by January 2003 - in about six months.

A source familiar with the deadline believes the effort is related to making the U.S. prepared for counterattacks if the U.S. invades Iraq sometime next year.

FEMA is currently seeking bids from major real estate management firms, and plans to name three firms in the near future to handle the logistics and planning for these temporary cities.

FEMA officials have told these firms they already have tents and trailers ordered. The tents and trailers would provide shelter for displaced populations.

The real estate firms are expected to provide engineers and architects to lay the plans for emergency infrastructure needs, such as sewerage and electricity.

Makeshift cities? Why not a makeshift nation?

Excellent idea. We should call the new nation "Divisible States of Potempkin".

Everybody should have been listening to the tin-foil hats a long time ago, even before they invented tin-foil.

That is, unless you like the Communist and you just close the borders.

What is the problem with closing the borders? One of the few things that the Communists did well was maintain control of their borders. It is perfectly feasible to stop 95%, or more, of the illegal immigrants infiltrating our country from Mexico. We don't have political to do it right now. We will probably have to lose a city or two and then we will get around to closing the borders.

I don't want a DEFENSIVE strategy.

I don't want the USAF doing drills where they practice shooting down civilian 767s full of innocent Americans.

I want an OFFENSIVE strategy, where we are dumping tons and tons of daisy cutters on Jiddah, day after day, month after month, until they sue for peace.

This kind of preparedness is cowardly and stupid, given the Swiss-cheese border policy and the NON-RESPONSE to 9/11 we have seen.

Bush is terrible. Worse than Carter.

"10 nations will gather together in secret and come against Babylon the great" (mother of harlots and every unclean bird).
Because of PC, all sin is endorced, I'm a little concerned this could be the US.
Sure hope I'm wrong about this.

A search at Fed Biz Opps reveals no recent unusual purchases being made by FEMA. If this were true, they would be ordering tents and such...I think someone's pulling our leg or FEMA is just cooking up scenarios to be prepared.

no recent unusual purchases

Excellent point- that's the first thing they'd do.

"Makeshift cities? Why not a makeshift nation? We could use it as a ruse or a decoy to draw enemy fire. We could defend it with makeshift military formations."

I like that. Good plan! Let's have a practice go-around with Wash.D.C.

Heh, this reminds me of the WWII film footage of soldiers rolling those inflated rubber "tanks" end-over-end in England, positioning them so that the German reconaissance flights would spot 'em in the months preceding the Normandy invason. Very effective, too. Fortunately, just about all of our Senators and representatives are already filled with hot air. Besides, who could stomach the task of inflating a fake Feinstein? Blecch.

I told my husband about this article and his first question was - "what is this going to cost?" Is anybody asking? Building cities? His next comment was interesting - don't we have abandoned military bases that could be used? They are already equipped with housing etc.

But that is too practical, might mean we don't have to charge another trillion to the taxpayer credit card.

Makeshift cities? Why not a makeshift nation? We could use it as a ruse or a decoy to draw enemy fire. We could defend it with makeshift military formations.

Why bother? Issuing a press release (with detailed plans of what they're going to do to save us all when Mohammed Abdul-Aziz al-Kaboom, whom they let into the country the week before in order to prove to Schumer and Kennedy that they're not being "Discriminatory", detonates himself and a truckload of Cesium-137 (did I get that right?) in the middle of downtown Berkeley (we wish)) and getting the spewsmedia to have 8 discussion forums on evening TV, ought to be enough to convince the sheeple that The Government Is Doing Something, It's Safe To Go Back To Thinking About Oprah And Football (and re-elect whoever is in power).

Which is what they just did... (issue a press release, that is).

Now... quit worrying about FEMA and go back to cleaning your assault rifles ; when did you ever see the government do anything it said it would do in a press release, anyway?

And by the way... has anyone ever considered, in the event of a *real* global, or even nationwide, calamity where the "Social Order" breaks down all over the country, where all those "Trusted" FEMA "Operatives" are going to be? I'll give you two guesses:
(A.) Locked inside a Government "Command Post" with their immediate families, cooped up with the families of other Government droids whom they don't even know outside of work, depending on Government food and medical care and supplies, and completely isolated from the outside world, including all of their friends and extended families?
OR,
(B.) Taking their chances "outside", but among their friends and extended families (and having called in with an "emergency", or just failed to show up when the situation heated up and they had to make a choice) - ?

I know what the pasty-faced bureaucrats at FEMA think will happen... but I am of the other opinion...

One of the few things that the Communists did well was maintain control of their borders.

Of course they were concerned with keeping their own people in, not keeping foreigners out. The guns in the towers were pointed IN not OUT.

is next comment was interesting - don't we have abandoned military bases that could be used? They are already equipped with housing etc.

They gave most of that housing away to the welfare queens, or at least to the local agencies that support them. The rest of the base(s) have been converted to industrial parks, although occupancy is not all that high in many cases, so there might be some hangers and warehouses were you could put people up for a time.

That doesn't count those bases leased ot the PRC/PLA.

Like maybe we're going to get hit by a meteor, a really big one, rather than have the Iraqis, Iranians, North Koreans or Chinese decide to start a nuclear war?

The 12th planet is due in 2003, if it's real. The Myian prophacies say something about 2003, too. I know little about either, just that 2003 is the end of the age according to them.

No idea. Even if it did take place - where?

Land grabbed areas, no doubt.
