This is a question that I want answered. I read that Carl Levin-( D,Mich) requested that the SEC investigate Bush- I had assumed that it was the first investigation, was unaware there was a reopening. Who told Levin to ask the SEC-was it the Clinton's??? You have to believe that the Clintons and Gore looked at this, Six ways to Sunday and if they couldn't find anything-there was nothing to find. I actually think that it's great that the Dems are preoccuopied with scandal-it makes for a nice contrast with the behavior of President Bush!

Not only did x42 and The Tree look at this but I understand that Ma Richards tried her darnedest to make an issue out of it in '94 (?) when Bush beat her out as governor of Texas. This issue has been looked at at least 4 different times from what I hear .... the original time, both of Bush's gubernatorial races, and his Presidential campaign. It didn't have any validity then and it still doesn't ...... but truth never stopped a liberal.
