I guess we are in this forum to lend you help?
Get over yourself...
Perhaps, once you gotten over your hissy fit, it may dawn on you that people would like browsing the comments from other threads, and other FReepers...but hey! FR is about YOU isn't it? We are all to "help" you.
Let's also just keep cluttering the site posting the same article over, and over, and over again until YOU get to read it.
Let's talk about "polite" OK darling?
Polite is taking the time, effort, and energy to not clutter this site with repeated postings of the same mass e-mail that only YOU received, and then, another "polite" thing to do, would be to notify the site Administrators of that fact, so that your duplicate posting be removed.
By the way, I am very capable of communicating in the "civilized" world, I'm not the one throwing the little tantrum, you are.
The most important right that I have, is the right to speak freely, a right that you, seem to wish to take from people. I have a right to be on this thread (I was flagged to it by the way), I have a right to point out the wasted site resources, and I have a right to comment freely on whatever I wish to comment on, darling.
"And you non-religious patriots can also leave and I wouldn't give one flying shi_. Am I right in inferring that in addition to your not wanting religion and patriotism mixed, you also do not look up to your creator? If this is true, then I must ask you who the hell you think created you? Or do you think you hail from a line of freakin' amphibians? No offense meant towards amphibians. Yeah, you non-religious patriots do have a right to voice your unreligious opinion; and thank God I have a right to voice my support of religious patriotism. I often wonder if atheists or agnostics change their stripes in a war or other troubling situation..."
Talk about impolite...and crude.
Smile girl, Jesus loves you...even with that potty mouth, and crappy attitude.
Oh, and one last thing...try HTML, it would make your little rants easier to read.
I wonder if it is because you are from Cuba and you're offended. If so, that's your problem. You see, your pointing out that the post was posted already (beginning in January) is perfectly fine with me; but your final sentence was akin to the low typical blows we have come to expect from say, demoncrats -- i.e., unnecessary and uncalled for and not even in the ballpark of discussing the issues.
You might have simply stated the piece was posted previously and left it at that. But you didn't did you? No, your vanity and need to pat yourself on the head carried you further.
Yes, I see you were flagged, but you added nothing by posting, so why participate? Merely to throw your weight around and act important? I see no other reason, do you? That is why I have always wondered about folks who post the "already posted" notes in a negative way like you did.
Not to worry. I know Jesus also loves you, vanity, sarcasm and all. Yeesh, God forbid if you are married; you seem like you would be a pretty unforgiving chap. :-)
P.S. Hope you liked the formatting, for your eyes only. Cause it's all about you, isn't it? There, I slunk to your apparent level, now let me jump back up.
You haven't been destitute yet
Amendment I.Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Congress can pass no laws abridging the freedom of speech...but Donna can!!!
So, why should I have to read your post which was not in good humor at all? Why should I be happy with your post when it seems only meant to provoke? I don't know what you are used to, but I don't normally roll over when provoked, I bite.
I can't really understand your inherent need to post your sarcastic post (it certainly reads sarcastic) other than that you are anal retentive, are of short corporeal stature, or that you perhaps were offended because of the e-mail's language reference. I know you value God, so that is not in question.
Your post certainly hints that you have a need to "correct" people (were you a hall monitor in school?). Frankly, most of us can spend all day responding to innocuous duplicate posts, spelling errors, wrong word usages, etc. here on FR. It is the pathology of the folks that do that -- even once in awhile -- that amaze me. It must satisfy some kind of need.
This logic is unreasonable (no pun intended).
You, too? HOOAH!
Then those people who sold their American citizenship are deported.
Again, that's unreasonable (no pun intended).
When it is not ran by civilized, God fearing people (see management of America by bill Klintoon) consider the disasterous results. As a matter of fact, find a time when America was ran by a known aethiest and what good they did for the country on the whole. Happy that God is included since 1954 in the pledge of allegiance.
Hope all is well with you and your ever-growing family!
Now, about this little debate:
John Adams, our second President, said it even more plainly: Our Constitution was only made for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
Any questions?
BTW, the more times this article is posted, Luis, the better. This is a must read article.
Eric, there is no right in the Constitution against annoyance. There is a right to freely "exercise" religion.
Having said that I don't think that being agnostic or atheist excludes you or anybody from being a patriot.
As long as the federal government, and the states through the auspices of the infamous fourteenth amendment, do not establish a religion, then the widest latitude should be given to the principles upon which this nation was founded. Judeo/Christian principles of unalienable rights granted by the Creator and not by the state.
The one saving grace that Van & I have is the fact that we will teach apprx. 300-400 college students each semester about the U.S. Constitution and individual self government - we will be sure to include your quote in the FALL 2002 semester.
take care and our best to Dixie Sass...KMJ & Family
People who take the time to write solely to make sarcastic statements that mean to do nothing but provoke piss me off. You see, Luis, my beef is only with your "puff-myself-up, slap-me-on-the-back" sarcasm. I have seen others post similar statements on FR, and I always find it a curious thing to waste time doing. Again, it must stroke some particluar need. You are not alone on this board in doing this, but this is the first time someone has targeted one of my posts in that way (and it just happens to be you).
I have asked other people who wrote similar statements as you did in response to duplicate posts to other posters to lay off also. If they used sarcasm. Again, no problem merely pointing it out, but if you add sarcasm, then there is a problem with you. I mean, show me the sin for crying out loud? Shouldn't we save all of our activism to combat our common enemies, not waste it and create ill will among those who share some of our most cherished beliefs?
As you are free to respond, so am I free to respond to you. You never read a statement from me telling you not to post; I do recall telling you that I did not appreciate your sarcastic post. Afterall, you can post anything you want to whatever post you wish to respond to, but I can do the same, can't I? And I did.
It is?

Where are you more free, in places packed with people stepping on each other's feet and voting for government regulation of life--or in the sparsely populated countryside?
IMHO, John Adams comment needs much wider dissemination -- I think it captures the essence of our Founding Father's intentions and aspirations for the USA. Glad you will include it in your history classes!
Dixie is just fine -- today was SC Chapter meeting. I don't have her report, yet.

He's probably never been in a foxhole either ; )
