Isn't Rick Roberts the one who started the rumor that BVD bought a million dollar home, without DVD? Maybe he's heard from their lawyer. When exactly did he change his tune?

"The Choir Boys" is the single funniest book I have ever read. I'll never forget laughing so hard. "Pull the Train" "The Three kinds of ......" "The glass coffee table...."

Think of the Joe Wambaugh stories.

You read Wambaugh? Good for you. If there's one person I would like to see write a book about all this, it would be Wambaugh.

Me, too. And the defense DOES NOT have to PROVE ANYTHING! Except third party culpability & they've done a very good job of that.

I thought DW might have done it, until the prosecution cleared him.

How could she leave the viewers with the wrong impression?...Duh.

If it wasn't on the Tele-Prompter --facts don't exist.

I thought so, too, untill the 4th day in the prelim. I told my husband, "I don't think they have the right guy. I think he's innocent, unless the prosecution comes up with more hard evidence by trial time." Well, they didn't and I'm still NOT CONVINCED. In fact, DW looks more innocent than ever.

"Leftists believe they're more right when they're wrong, than we're right when we're right"

That is so perfect!

it sure sounds like Whorealdo & guests know the prosecution is LOSING the case & Whorealdo put this out for "public opinion."

You know, I've just about caught up with the past 3 days of threads here. And I'm plenty impressed with some of the stuff being posted!

For instance, the press articles on the sealed affidavits. You know, the ones where Westerfield says, "The desert is a good place to leave a body", and "Be patient. You will find what you're looking for." Isn't it just amazing that these little leaks about what's been said in the affidavits happen to come out NOW, and come out when the affidavits have been sealed? I wonder if the info. in these documents is as accurate as that from the application for the Search Warrant (posted earlier)??

And now Whorealdo ("Mick Jagger and Baryshnikov made a Manwich out of me!") has on guests talkin' up the prosection line...Wow!

You'd almost think that the Bug Guy dropped a little damage on the prosecution on Thursday.

To me, that just sounds like someone who is trying to help, but certainly doesn't have a clue as to where the child is or if she's alright. They are "twisting" his words to suit their (poor excuse) case.

In fact, he also stated that his daughter had been gone a morning or two when she was a child and they found her playing with a neighbor.

we NEVER spoke about politics to avoid loud disagreements

I was raised to avoid talking about politics and religion if I didn't want to ruin a friendship. These days we kind of talk more about politics and during impeachment there was no doubt where I stood. I made sure I told the family I was writing and calling my congressman to DO THE RIGHT THING. Well, I always avoided that kind of talk with friends until about three years ago I befriended one of my daughter's mothers. We hit it off so well. Then came the day she mentioned clinton in a favorable way. I was STUNNED. She would continue to broach the subject until I told her where I stood. So we started talking politics. Now our friendship is much more casual. We did not talk hardly at all during the election of 2000 and it made me sick to think she was rooting for gore. I am so glad for FR where ideas can be fleshed out.

When I was a child, the very few discussions I recall of my parents, grandparents, other relatives talking politics There were never heated or loud discussions. But this was back in the late 40' & 50's, when people were more civil and understanding of one another.

One of the best things I learned in high school was that some people who don't like you, and won't ever like you, nevertheless are offended that you won't expend any efforts to get them to like you. BTW have you seen the book "Odd Girl Out - The Hidden Culture Of Aggression In Girls" - guess what it made me think of?

And you know that Geraldo had fat from his buttocks transplanted into his face during a televised plastic surgery session--my laugh about all that is that it made him a real-life butt-head.
