Prayer Request for my Pop
Posted on 07/11/2002 6:57:09 PM PDT by southerngrit
Please pray for my father in law, Lawrence Miller, who suffered a heart attack earlier in the day while traveling home from Kentucky. He is at Riverview Medical Center in Gadsten (sp?), AL. He is 81 years old. Prayers are also requested for his wife, Kathy, who is alone, worried in a strange town. Family members are making their way to them, but I would appreciate the strength of your prayers for these two wonderful people.
This is my first post, so forgive me if I did something incorrectly.
Yours in Christ, Karen

In the Name of Jesus, Amen ...

Update: Pop is out of surgery and in Intensive Care. Medical staff pleased - no complications - surgery went well. Kathy's a little weepy, but I think she'll be okay. Alan says his Pop's color was good. I'm stuck at work in a cubicle, but so far, it appears our prayers have been answered.

Late evening meditation to the One who Sustains ... He is rich in mercy. May the Lord draw your Pop to peaceful sleep tonight, and renewed strength in the morning.

Optimistic ping. Pop's doing well in ICU, ruefully admitted today "this hurts worse than I thought it would." His nurses have fallen in love -

SouthernGrit, I live close to Gasden Alabama (about 40 miles away). I know that this is strange territory for ya, but there is good doctors at Gasden. Birmingham is not far away and they have world famous doctors there. If you need anything, let me know. We can put ya up for the night if you need. It ain't much and we ain't rich folks by a long shot. But if you need, let us know.
