As I was waking up this AM (5 EDT) I heard on Fox or CNN one of those "stayed tuned" blurbs referring to DW's having told LE "where Danielle's body might be found".
I don't recall ever hearing such before. Was I half asleep? Else, what would this refer to?
To: John Jamieson
DO we know the source ....the dealer? Could it be the VDs?
To: John Jamieson
It's possible. But nothing whatever can back up this assertion either.
To: John Jamieson
Or, Dusek knew that Susan's answer would be 'No, I didn't fear for my safety. He wasn't a dangerous drunk.'
To: Illbay
Do you not think it's possibly because they're so outraged by the alleged lifestyle of the Van Dams?
Can't speak for everybody, but for me the interest lies in what appears to be a case of wrongful accusation. If you peruse the threads, you will find the 'hang DW' crowd (like the guy you were addressing) are always all a-twitter about the swingin' and porn and such. Many of the rest of us are sublimating our anti-government feelings by dissecting a court case in search of truth and justice. My .02

Logically it fits very well. But I agree that there is no physical evidence. Nobody has been looking for any. Most of the evidence that might have pointed to the van Dams has been destroyed, the body, the house and the car.
To: Greg Weston
The best "evidence" is Damon's wild ride to all the possible dump sites on the weekend of the 16th and the statements that he and wife made over those days. That weekend is the bug weekend.
Paraphrasing:
Damon, I think the searchers should look closer to San Diego.
Brenda, It's been 18 days, I feel we are going to hear news soon.
Maybe the phone call of the 16th will help explain all this.
To: Illbay
"alleged lifestyle" Actually calling it "alleged" is not proper. Their swapping and sex parties have been testified to under oath. That makes the lifestyle a "fact".

Prosecution desperation?
To: iconoclast
It's in the affidavits that were released yesterday. Westerfield's lawyer had had them suppressed, but they were ordered released by the Supreme Court.
I'm still tryng to find a direct link to the actual affidavits, since so many of the threadhounds refuse to believe that they exist.
To: John Jamieson
Another, just before sleep thought: Allowing both VDs in the court room sets them up for emotional outburst....Since defense didn't ask they be further banned...and they are easily stimulated...maybe a Perry Mason ...last minute courtroom dramatic ending is being planned??? Ya think?
To: redlipstick
Everyone seem to know they exsist, just can't find them...therefore, are speculating on what they contain.
Have you had any luck?
To: John Jamieson
Is it correct that the Van Dam's steam cleaned or ripped out and replaced carpeting?
If Damon really wants to settle the score with Westerfield it seems he would have left anything in place that in any way would lead to evidence Westerfield was in the house.
Why would you destroy anything that could lead to your daughter's killer? Had it been thoroughly tested and cleared as disposable by SDPD?

Yes we think the actual documents ought to speak for themselves. I don't like filtered facts from the press, do you?
To: longjack
Why would you cremate the body?
To: ~Kim4VRWC's~
Right, because there's been no evidence to indicate that the vd's kids were walking around witnessing the parents behaviour--do you recall the child abuse investigation team that investigated the vd's? kim..there is no evidence for most of the speculation here.....but as a kid that knew and as a mom that raised a bunch of kids..I know that the kids knew something
To: hoosiermama
I think there is going to a Al Pacino ending to this. And Justice for All.
To: John Jamieson
Right. The same type of thing. No more tests on the body possible.
OTOH, maybe all possible tests were done. The Van Dam's did lose a child. They have to do the best they can for themselves and their other children to say goodbye and move on.

Ummmmmmmmm sounds well exotic

"They have to do the best they can for themselves"
I think the parents have shown that their very good at that.
The kids welfare, I'm not so sure about.
