Right. The same type of thing. No more tests on the body possible.

OTOH, maybe all possible tests were done. The Van Dam's did lose a child. They have to do the best they can for themselves and their other children to say goodbye and move on.

Why would you cremate the body?

A very common practice; a matter of preference in my family. It is quite common in other families, evidenced by the Crematory section at most cemeteries.

Of course this may not seem "logical" to you, but common sense and FACTS win out here.
