A Bush Hater's Poll
Jim Robinson
Posted on 07/10/2002 11:27:06 PM PDT by Jim Robinson
This is an unofficial quick and dirty presidential poll. Apparently, there is a good sized contingent on Free Republic that believes that President Bush is:
- Not conservative enough
- Not pro-life
- Is a gun-grabber
- Is a federal power-grabber
- Will appoint liberal judges
- Is a globalist
- Is in it just for oil
- Is too soft on immigration
- Is too soft (or too hard) on Israel
- Is a crook
- All of the above
- None of the above
- Other (you name it)
Please list the numbers that best match the reasons you don't like Bush (or state other reasons if not on the list) and state whether you believe that President Bush should be defeated even if it means installing a Democrat in the Whitehouse.
Conversely, if you believe President Bush should be re-elected, please state why.
Please state who you would like to see win the Presidency in 2004 and whether or not you believe he/she has a chance of winning.
Thanks,
Jim

I ditto that, Gramma. A small group of us prayed for 35 straight days after the election of 2000, for Bush to prevail over Gore. He did, and I attribute prayer to that success. Prayer changes things, even things of national and international importance. I thank God every day that Bush is President, and that group that prayed after the election has continued to pray, for Bush, for his Presidency, for wisdom, for courage, for conviction...and for his re-election. (We're also praying down the Gray Davis corruption in California, and so far the polls show that our prayers are being heeded.)

What desperately needs to be done is cull the entire country over for leadership and form a third party.
In other words, just reinvent the wheel.
More of the "If Only Everyone Thought As I Did Then I Would Be Happy". If we could "cull the entire country" for anything we wouldn't even need to be talking third party nonsense, much less 2nd party, RLK.

Why can't conservatives not agree with a lot of what bush has done so far without being called haters?Hmmmmm. Are you THINKING about ATTACKING President Bush?

If your analysis is correct, then the sooner the United States disintegrates, the sooner some of us will recover our lost freedoms.
If true, I don't want to be in the same country with Florida. If true, the Medicare crowd should remember the tradition of American Indian tribes who left the elderly on one side of a raging river while the strong and able crossed the river and moved on. Few among us would not help those in need who genuinely can't provide for themselves. But for the segment of our population with the highest average net worth to demand that their grandchildren provide their grandparents medical care is outrageous.

Well, it's true that Vera Katz is an anti-American communist numbskull. I (thankfully) don't live in Portland, so I can't do anything about her employment status. There are ways that her cooperation could perhaps be "encouraged."
Anyhow, I think the policy should be that if police or other state employees contact someone who is here illegally, they should be required to report and/or detain that person so that the feds can deal with them appropriately.

Bump, in case you haven't seen the thread.

I agree totally. However, with the super liberal city councils and police chiefs we have in most major cities on the West Coast, that ain't going to happen. If they even arrest one illegal on a driving violation and try to send him back or hold him, our left wing fishwraps will hang that cop, his supervisors and police chief.

I'm thinking about passing the hat to get you a properly functioning keyboard.

Permit me to amend my comment "I don't care about their status". I do care about their status, and if they are working here I want them identified, vetted and legal.
100 folks or 10 million. If they are law abiding and productive, let's get them authorized and identified. The amnesty proposal caused ... minor ;^)... rancor here on FR. Shut off the welfare bennies, bury the ID countefitters and dirty Feds, make supervised border crossings preferable and win proactive gain and border coverage in Mexico - the amnesty is moot. No jobs, no Juan. No skills, no Julia. No Welfare, no Wilfredo. Or William. Or Wes. Or Wahil.
Get the workers legal, shut the welfare parasites down, find the criminal counterfitters, and kick the student, vacation and visitor Aliens out. Any ethnicity. Sweep the Irish louts up on Manhattans West side and Boston. Boot em. Boot the Russian murderers. Boot the Mexican scofflaws. Boot the Arab cutthroats. Boot Canadians and Brazilians and Chinese. If they're not productive individuals in America.

BTW, the Chief of Police in Portland, Mark Kroeker, is trying to get the LAPD job. I heard on the radio that people in LA are saying he doesn't stand much of a chance, because of statements he made in the early 1990s against homosexuality. The same ones he was haranged over by the idiots in Portland.
"Are you now, or have you ever been, a member of the Communist Party?"
ROFL! Leftists are such hypocrites.

Have to agree.......Rush, Levin, and a few others such as Kristol appear to be totally ignorant of reality.
Rush sounded like a petulent toddler today....whining that people are going to be mad at me....but I don't care!!! His show has become so boring, the only relief is when he has a guest host. Yesterday's host, Callahan, was excellent. Hedgecock isn't bad either, but my fave is the Washington Times editor, John McCaslin!
To: Sabertooth
ST, at some point in time you are going to have to propose a practical plan. Let's say there are 5 million unauthorized foreign nationals currently living among us. Let's accept that.
Go!

Seen it. Enjoying it. Taking some notes. :-)

What would happen if all welfare ended overnight? It wouldn't stop working wetbacks, and many Americans don't mind people that want to work, but most object to those coming for welfare and healthcare. And no amnesty with extension of citizenship or voting rights no matter how long they are here illegally. Rewarding illegal behavior encourages more of it.

And yet now he's allowing increased stem cell use. Have you followed the week's news? Link, please?

Has anybody pointed out to you that your practice of capitalizing some of your words is strange?
Just curious.

ermit me to amend my comment "I don't care about their status". I do care about their status, and if they are working here I want them identified, vetted and legal.
Every Illegal who gets to "change status" displaces a lawful immigration applicant trying to play by the rules and wait their turn. The Amnestied Illegals count against our immigration caps, that's the law.
So making Illegals "legal" rewards those who break our laws at the expense of those who would obey them.
Is that OK with you?
To: Sabertooth
I'm still not seeing your plan. They're here. How do we identify our illegal visitors and manage them? Tooth, we've massaged every nuance to identify the PROBLEM for 15 months now ... problem accepted. OK ... now what?

Where are Republicans making even a feeble attempt to stand for conservatism. All I hear is Republicans trying to give away as many benefits as Democrats. And they can't figure out why they are losing support. No wonder they are known as the stupid party.
