Despite what Joe has to say about it, there are several million folks sitting around in that part of the world who call themselves "Palestinians." They've now got a decades-long shared experience formed by being confined to camps, being alienated by all other Arab states as not being
those kinds of Arabs. And God knows they're not Israelis.
So as far as those folks are concerned, there is a Palestinian people. The political realities are that they're going to stay where they are, and that they're going to have a country of their own. And that's pretty much the end of it.
The remaining question is what kind of "people", and what kind of state, they will be.
