Are you teasing me?

I think he needed a big finish before the break, but I'll bet he has more to come. He'll grill (as nicely as he can) Brenda before this over.

Also Dusek wasn't yelling at this witness, didn't make him cry, wasn't being snide, he was totally respectful and didn't try to damage his credibility in any way. This should help the Defense.

Will a week be long enough for the prosecution to come up with some "new" evidence against Westerfield? I don't know, but they are in an awkward position. I assume that their "heavy" stuff is out there already. If they drag some petty garbage in, it may backfire.

I love it. We've had three hours of riveting CSI testimony and our local San Diego news station is re-playing the girlfriend because she gave "damaging" evidence about DW. Sheesh.

So why the break for ten days? Is someone going on vacation? Darn.. and this was just starting to get VERY interesting!

Will a week be long enough for the prosecution to come up with some "new" evidence against Westerfield? No doubt they'll try.I don't think that they can do this, since they've already rested their case.
A philosophical thought: Why would any prosecutor be afraid of the truth? Isn't their job to find the truth, not to win at all costs? Seems like DuPRICK has forgotten what his duty is, IMO.

I JUST LOVED IT!! Me too...... ; *) It was so Matlock-ish......lol

Yes, frezzer too and the body would probably take several more days to thaw after it was dumped. That was my thought it would take at least two additional, maybe three days..during which the body would be very attractive to animals as it would be moist..yet the abdomen was not eaten correct?
To: Henrietta
Thank you for correcting me.
According to Stealth Ninja Dave page, was arrested on Feb 22. But was under heavy police surveillance prior to that, including GPS attached to his car, so same diff, right?
The jury would realize DW was under police surveillance very early in Feb, so he couldn't have just stepped out and dumped the body. The GPS showed he never went near Dehesa RD. You are so right, Henrietta.
To: UCANSEE2
Thanks UCANSEE. Since I didn't get to see or hear for myself the last 2 hrs. of testimony - I appreciate your assurance that this was clear to the jury. It is clear to me - she wasn't there before the 16th-18th. I'm pretty well off the fence. If I'm sittin in the jury box - I'm thinkin not guilty.

Prosecution can still bring in rebuttal witnesses at the end.

You said it.
To: alexandria
IT WOULD HAVE HAD TO HAVE BEEN SEALED IN PLASTIC to have made a difference. Alexandria pointed out that this would have kept the body moist.
She is right.
Keeping the body in a paper bag would have allowed it to dry.
But only if it was sealed. If not, bugs would have gotten in.
To: RnMomof7
Yes, it was. Not the chest.
To: Southflanknorthpawsis
"Exactly !!! Maybe a reasonable person could buy a couple of days discrepancy, but we are looking at two weeks after 2/1-2/2."
Yes, and if she was somehow mummified out in an open air environment, by the 16th, at least some insects would have found their way to her during the pre-mummification phase.
Based on what we've just heard, I too, don't see how, as you say, a reasonable person could buy that she was there prior to DW's 24 hour surveillance.
The question, IMO, is who had her and where?
In any case, I don't see it as having been a good day for Dusek and his prosecution team.

Yes - I did post that - and am wondering if it fits in somehow - just dunno how.
