[history]
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The United States is capable of launching a rapid attack on Iraq by marshaling 50,000 troops at the Kuwaiti border in roughly a week, airlifting them in and bringing their tanks and heavy equipment on ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

Time to disregard what the other world leaders might think and just go about our business over there. Saddam is like a cancer, the pain remains as long as he is there, and he isn't going away by himself short of death from old age. See Castro, Fidel for the foolishness of the "waiting game" policy.

Today's developments:
1) Bush met with congressional leaders at breakfast.
2) All US officials out of Baghdad since Monday.
3) Bush meeting with Eastern Orthodox Leaders.
4) Kurds announce new Iraqi Constitution.
5) New moon is today.
Maybe nothing is going to happen, but I'll be close to the media late this afternoon.

Low cover with a chance of sudden attacks.

It must be fun to f&%^ with Sadaam's head almost daily.

Full moon It's new moon here, so since Iraq is on the opposite side of the world, it might be a full moon there.

Unfortunately, Saddam's retaliation could be sudden, too.
Forget about the idea of military strike to remove Saddam Hussein. You don't strike someone who's holding a knife against your throat. But, as President Bush reminded us the other day in this regard, there is more than one way to skin a cat -- and George Bush is a very patient man.

What's up with the new-moon thing? We normally attack when there is no moon.

Other than Farakhan, what US officials would be in Iraq?

It's new moon here, so since Iraq is on the opposite side of the world, it might be a full moon there.doesn't work that way. Earth spins around itself in 24 hours, moon around the earth in 27+ days.
To: RightWhale
maybe saddam plans to moon the Predator drone plane and get a suppository right up his ole wazoo?BWHAHAHAHAHA
To: Oldeconomybuyer
Is it just me or is the media deliberately trying to warn Saddam of any potential attack?

What's up with the new-moon thing? We normally attack when there is no moon. That's what a new moon is. Add 14 days to a full moon.

IMHO, part of our office if disinformation trying to keep Saddam awake at night ...
