The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. Well then .. what is the point of living ..

There's more to life than politics. Plus we need to be around once we reach the bottom, so we can finally turn it around.

I think I'll just go step in front of a bus .. end it all right now ..

Don't do that. I would feel bad. ;-)

And what makes you think we can .. you don't seem to have much hope for anything right now

Cable ratings are nothing compared to conventional broadcast. They represent a very small segment of the viewing population.

I know that you're right about that, but I have no idea what the disparity is. Do you have any idea what percentage of American homes do not have access to cable/satellite?

Huh, could have fooled me with all that rhetoric about you throwing away your vote for someone who doesn't have a chance at winning.

Oh well that's your right to think what you want.

LOL. I would, but my filter isn't working. Can't afford to take those kind of risks.

My point is this: we're creeping toward socialism. The majority of Americans don't see it or don't care, because they're dumb or well-off. It's the frog in boiling water analogy. If the heat got turned up really fast, Americans would wake up and retake the country (re: the flag decision by the Court), but this creeping only makes Americans numb to the loss of freedom. If we get to the boiling point slowly, we won't notice it until it's too late. A fast descent toward socialism would wake up the country's true republican and freedom loving nature. Either way in the end, this country will get what it deserves.

And you're free to throw away your vote on watered down socialists.

Amelia, what you are endorsing is the shredding of the Constitution

I'm not endorsing, I'm saying that it's the political reality right now.

Sir Gawain, you're absolutely correct that education is needed, and needed badly. However, how to get the message out? The media is not our ally right now.

It would be nice if conservatives could retake the media and the schools and the government...the best way I know to start is as the local level. I don't think it's going to be an overnight process, because it's been going on too long.

Neither do I think we should just give up and GIVE it to the Democrats, because things aren't going 100% our way. I'd really rather be trying to grab the steering wheel, or dragging my foot on the ground trying to slow the car a little bit, than just sitting back watching the scenery go by as it hurtles downhill towards a certain crash.

Hey, thanks for running with my analogy. However, you misrepresent my position. I am advocating slamming the brakes on, grabbing the wheel, and putting it in reverse. That's not what we're doing. We're just riding the brakes, and still going downhill. This compromise with the enemy will always be a loss, not a victory.

Sir Gawain...you are right. We need to educate the people. It is now July. The elections are in November. Do you think we can educate the people and change their minds in enough time to get them in the conservative camp and gain control of the House and Senate? I am quite dubious of that.

Registered...you are absolutely correct that the mainstream network shows have the highest ratings. That is why I am so mad at Klayman...he is feeding their propaganda machine. Do YOU agee with Klaymamn that Cheney is the "de facto president" and is running the country? That quote will be picked up in the next day or two. I am quite aggravated about that statement. Aren't you?

Probably. Nonetheless, I thought it was humorous.

I didn't recognize the song. Was it Britney Spears?

Well gosh golly gee .. maybe 8 years of the clintons and almost 40 years of Democrats in control of Congress did that

And you want to throw your vote away and let them continue doing it

You make NO SENSE

As for the people .. yes many were asleep for a long time .. but the are starting to wake up since Bush has been President

Bit by bit Americans are starting to see a better way of life for this country

And instead of letting them to continue seeing this ..

You want to throw your vote away .. for what???

To prove a point to the GOP??

I don't see this happening. I see this as a short remission from the disease of socialism.
