12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."

Yes, but Larry really needs a blow dryer, a round boar brush, and Redken straightening balm.
His hair looks like a wavy rat's nest.

Based on that interpretation which you posted, do you believe that country club members are going to hell? They can be exclusive societies, in fact any group that limits membership could be labelled as such. John Ashcroft's barbershop quartet is invitation only, is he in danger?(IIRC he's AOG) What about members of professional organizations, such as CPA chapters, they meet for economic, social, or political advantage. My college social club(at a religious school so strict we were not allowed to have fraternities, but clubs instead) had secret initiations, with the full knowledge of the school, church, and the earlier members who are now elders in one of the most conservative denominations you'll ever find. Are we all doomed? Did not Benjamin and David swear an allegance to each other in secret, that was exclusionary, yet David is a man after God's own heart(and don't claim that was a sin, since the story is meant to show the depth of their friendship, and the Bible clearly illustrates severe consequences for when David DID sin).
This is why we have denominations, because not everyone agrees on how to interpret scripture and apply it to various life situations. I find it interesting that the strict Baptists, who led the way on the Disney boycott, are not listed as officially condemning the Masons.
Finally, here is Christian who somewhat counters your claim that Masons are 'evil':

I have asked you not to post to me, but you are so busy flapping your mouth and being the insufferable fool, that you can't respect that.
But since you brought it up, I will tell you that I have no respect for your brand of Lutheran interpretation because you once expressed here that you do not agree with a few of the longstanding traditions and practices of the church.
It is Lutherans like you that are causing problems in our synod and I dare say that the recent situation with Benke's rightful suspension is only controversial because there are too many Lutherans like you out there that just don't get it.
I have never heard that lodges were "evil"; only that they were not exclusively Christian and therein lies the problem.
Evil is your word and all but about three people here know what that's worth.

Great post!
Wasn't the early church more or less a secret society, because of Roman persecution?
