Well, that is certainly a very helpful source when I come across some legal terms that I do not recognize.

Things have been really hectic here at the home. My "homeys" are all in an uproar about this injustice. I just did a quick read-up on the Commerce Clause in FindLaw.com.

I don't see where the Feds are given the power to monitor businesses closely enough to prevent illegal practices.

Well, I have never been supportive of an intrusive Orwellian government, but the fact of the matter is that our federal government has Independent Regulatory Commissions, which I believe, are pretty important because of their authority and particularily independent status. Within their areas of jurisdiction, these independent regulatory commissions do much of the establishing and enforcing of business regulations.

When I was referring to the government, what I should have referred to the SEC, because these Comission has the main duty of protecting investors against fraud and other investment malpractices.
