12:57PM Halliburton responds to Judicial Watch lawsuit (HAL) by Michael Baron Halliburton (HAL) is off 30 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $13.82, in midday action. The company is out with a press release responding to a lawsuit filed by Judicial Watch, a Washington, D.C.-based legal watchdog group. The suit alleges fraudulent accounting practices at Halliburton took place during the period when current vice president Dick Cheney served as its chairman and CEO. Halliburton called the claims in the suit, "untrue, unsupported, and unfounded." The company continued: "We are working diligently with the SEC to resolve its questions regarding the company's accounting procedures. Halliburton has always followed and will continue to follow guidelines established by the SEC and GAAP, General Accepted Accounting Principles."

To: terilyn
I would personally like to see it myself.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
The problem was obvious.
If you voted yes, you were allowed to get back in to see the results.
If you voted no, you were not.
To: terilyn
Well, I voted only once, and had no problem seeing the results.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
But did it really impact the results of the poll...... Now really.... the link was posted at 8:56 pm CDT..... a poll result was posted at 8:58 pm CDT... with 3354 votes total.... the poll was locked down with 3380 votes or only 26 more votes after the link was posted. The poll was losing prior to the link being posted..... I know you called your buds at the watch as soon as you found it. Too bad not all agree with the 'eww'...
Any big announcement coming up in the next day or two? Let us know would you.....
To: FreedominJesusChrist
Ah, there's the rub though; nobody is really interested in the lawsuit because they know it's bogus.
To: TLBSHOW
"your liberal buds want Cheney impeached."Your accusations and those of others, bring to mind the Salem Witch trials. All rumor, no substance, and completely false.
If you want to debate me, good. If you want to accuse me, confine it to Freepmail with your friends please.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
You're parsing again. Nobody knows for sure whether they can be or not. The times that they have discussed it, they have decided they couldn't.
Unless, of course, you have the exclusive copy of the Constitution that says that.
To: deport
Well, I am sure that you and your friends voted before this link was even posted on FR. Polls elsewhere indicate that the majority of the American public support Klayman's actions, including a recent CNN poll.
JW's poll was probably a result of angry Republicans who fail to see the big picture. They would rather let corruption in their own party pass, rather than be fair and bring it to light.
That is the problem with the Republican Party in Illinois, and look where it is at now--simply pathetic.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
let's go back to the original subject of someone on this thread deliberately posting the link to this poll in order to maliciously sway the results. Who did that? Name, please.
To: Howlin
And the U.S. Constitution does not hold your view.
To: deport
The poll got closed within minutes of the link was posted here at FR?
To: Howlin
Whoever posted the link to this poll.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
All rumor, no substance, and completely false.
Sounds like some of the stuff that 'eww' gets thrown out of court with.......... huh?
To: deport
No, that is different.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
You don't even have the guts to name the person you're accusing.
To: Darth Reagan
Yet, I don't remember the press getting too excited over all of Larry's lawsuits against members of the Clinton administration. Surprise, surprise, the press is biased.
How close I came to contributing to this farcical Judicial Watch et al Larry Klayman when they were lyingly claiming to be hot on the trail of scumbag Clinton's shennanigans.
Clinton's leg hunchers in the Senate and in the House made Klayman and his band of merry men in tights look like Ned in the third reader.
Klayman gave honest justice a bigger black eye than Dyke Reno!
What a maroon!
To: deport
I did no such thing.
To: SierraWasp
All your Haliburton are belong to us.
To: Howlin
No, actually I am just too lazy to go back and check. Anyone who is interested can go back and do their own work.
To: FreedominJesusChrist
Feel free to go look, you couldn't pay me to give that site any hits.
