No, they cannot.

You seem to not understand the issue of Impeachment from a Constitutional perspective.

And impeachment and consitutional are NOT capitalized.

Yes, I think you're correct again. Cheney can be impeached for past transgressions.

Cheney can't be impeached for something he might have done BEFORE he was elected.

Your vote has been casted?

If the (petty) people laughing at this had any computer knowledge, they'd understand that the company that wrote the CGI script can't spell.

"No, they cannot."

Yes, they can. Or are you putting more words into the Constitution than there actually is?

"Cheney can't be impeached for something he might have done BEFORE he was elected."

Yes, he can. All that needs to occur is for the House of Representatives to review the articles of Impeachment, decide if there is enough merit to them, and then Impeach the politician in question. Remember, Impeachment is not conviction, the Senate has to conduct the trial and complete the ultimate removal, if necessary.

Cheney can't be impeached for something he might have done BEFORE he was elected.

Regardless, he could be thrown in the slammer.

I agree, the impeachment angle is kind of like a slap on the wrist.

Yes he can. He can be impeached and convicted because the Congress wants it. They are the judge and jury, and there is no appeal. And your nemises is right. If something ugly enough comes out as to one's past, Congress should bounce the perp. If Benedict Arnold had been elected president not having been outed earlier, and while president, it was found out that he did what he did, he most certainly would have been removed. But obviously, when something was done, and what it was, is relevant. In the end it is entirely a prudential matter for Congress to determine, and that is the way it should be.

If Republicans in the House would have truly had their way, there would have been enough evidence gathered to impeach Clinton for either Whitewater or Mena. These crimes of course occured before Clinton was President.

Where have I claimed objectivity? Where have you shown objectivity?
