People with some inferiority thing in their mind hate people who do something better than they do.
Me, I'm a lousy housekeeper, but I don't care if Martha's home is spotless and filled with tacky homemade knickknacks. I'm sure I'd love to eat any meal she ever made, and would smile at the knackknacks just to get at the food.
And even though she is a Democrat (and the media would have let you know if she were Republican), I hope she is just lucky/smart in her decision to sell and didn't do any insider trading.
