Like the "War on Terror," this is largely a PR event. PR event to you apparently - war to the rest of us. Exactly what would you expect Bush to do other than what has been done in Afghanistan and all over the world?

Judicial nominees and Bush doing nothing?

Please explain how Bush is responsible for the stonewalling of Leahey and Daschle. You might try putting the blame where it goes - the terrorists and the democrat controlled Senate under Tommy Daschle.

Leadership? You would not know leadership - you want a dictatorship.

Another case of complaint mongering with non realistic goals set for a president not of your choosing to meet.

Polls will continue to show Bush benefiting from enormous public confidence.

The American public is not entirely dumb. The public confidence is being built by watching this president in action. We are seeing the "real thing" - an honest man with experience in business, with an MBA from Harvard, with experience running a state and dealing with big business and even experience in the oil industry. We see a man who is trustworthy and cares about each American and speaks out for them.

Now, compare that to the political cats that know nothing of running a state, nothing of running a company, nothing of running a country for the benefit of all Americans. Daschle, Kerrey, Lieberman, Gore do not compare to a George Bush in any way yet they adopt their superior attitude that Bush is incapable of doing his job.

Yes, and now Biden (the plagiarist) intends to question administration officials on their plan for Iraq. What a total disgrace!

Look - I am offended by your attacks on Bush and the war on terror. Your comments are NOT TRUE AND YOU KNOW THEY ARE NOT TRUE.

Bush does care about the Americans killed, the military fighting, and all the other terrorist victims. If he did not care, he would have done as Clinton did - nothing but a missile fired at an empty tent.

He has put himself as the primary target of all terrorists in the world. That is really not caring isn't it? He has taken strong action and told the world this is what we will do.

Now, when you decide to deal in the truth instead of liberal lies or press reporting tactics we can discuss things.

Frankly, I'm wondering if you are a liberal using this ploy as a means of printing liberal lies on FreeRepublic. If you can't beat Bush from the Democrat Party, try hitting him from within FreeRepublic and the conservative viewpoint. It won't work any better than the Democrats stupid efforts to discredit him.

All of us here know you are sprouting lies about Bush.

"leaders who violate the public trust should never be given that trust again"

I love this statement! I have said for a long time - Clinton's best punishment will be to KEEP HIM FROM BEING ABLE TO HOLD A PUBLIC OFFICE EVER AGAIN.

My interpretation is that the den of thieves is decreasing in value because the thieves are running away with their money.

How come Al Qaueda, yesterday, issued another warning that there would be more attacks on Americans and Israelis?

Sounds like they are still out there, as before.

I think you need to expect more from the Commander-in-Chief.

I am sorry I have offended you, but I do not believe I am lying.

I think Bush is a weak sister, and I am by no means a liberal mole: I stood in the rain in December with a poster, being abused by passers-by, supporting Bush.

I am the real deal. It is Bush who has turned away from me, and, from you.

I think when you get into the range of companies with a few more employees, not one, but say, 100, you have a lot of problems with the feds.

And any infrastructure that Bush sets up, will go on and on and on, until every 100-person company has to deal with his SWAT team.

Just look at what the IRS does to individuals.

Read the WSJ Tax Law column.

Aside: The Investors Business Daily editors agree with me; they think Bush should not regulate, just convict wrongdoers.

If you look at my posts that's basically what I have said.

My reading of the EO is that it sets up a group of people who are already IN the government (District Attorneys, FBI, IRS) to catch violators. It doesn't make any new laws, simply goes after violators.

Aside from upping the criminal penalty, the SEC is requiriing CEO's to sign off personally on corporate balance sheets. This is the same requirement that every small business owner already follows.I particularly like requiring CEO's to justify their compensation to shareholders. Almost every coorporate employee has to fill out a personnel form before their review, rating themselves on their performance. This is not much different, and will perhaps curb some of the excesses of CEO compensation at the expense of employees and shareholders.

Much of what has been proposed is enforcement of existing law or suggestions to shareholders.

And I don't really care if the Investor's Business Daily shares my opinion or not. They probably don't want to have to write those letters to shareholders, either.

How come Al Qaueda, yesterday, issued another warning that there would be more attacks on Americans and Israelis?

So? What does that have to do with Bush? Didn't you hear that the terrorist are in 60 countries? Didn't you know that attacking them in one place makes them move on to other places? Do you think they just fall dead because George Bush is going after them?

This is not a normal war against a country where you send the tanks in. It is not broadcast on TV every night. Much of the work is done by undercover links, by spies, by agents and by the efforts of other countries. He has put in place a massive attack on all aspects of terrorists and their funding to shut down these networks. Of course they are going to fight him. Of course they will find loopholes.

How long has it been since 9/11 - 10 months? You expect fast war results don't you?

Just what did you expect Bush to do about the terrorists that Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Powell and Rice have not accomplished? Have you been attacked here since 9/11? I would imagine that those soldiers think Bush has done plenty since they are the ones going through those caves risking their lives making your country safer for you.<

I would think that you malcontents should actively get to work to bring about the changes you want through the system instead of just complaining how someone else does not do a decent job.

Bush has two alternatives - either work to get the Senate back and then be able to get his agenda pushed through or just sit back and accept that he can do little with the democrat controlled senate that will not fund the war, our military or our homeland defense, with none of his judges being confirmed and with all of his efforts stopped.

Yet - feel free to ignore the facts and just complain that Bush has "left you".

Bush is the commander-in-chief, and he is supposed to defend the United States from its attackers.

His response to the September 11 attacks was woefully inadequate, as I said before. That is why we are still dealing with terrorist threats.

Arabs in Florida are still taking flight lessons with impunity.

Our borders are still wide open, and Bush, preferring to pander to Hispanic voters rather than do his job and close the borders, twiddles his thumbs.

He won't let pilots even carry guns.

His stance to the arabs in Palestine: cowardly appeasement. The Israelis are sooner or later going to do the job.

His stance toward the Saudis: Fauning, obsequious, disgusting, wimply.

If he were President following Pearl Harbor he would have had Hirohito over to his ranch and kissed his a$$, the way he kissed the a$$ of the Saudi princes.

Face it, he is an appeaser, a Neville Chamberlain.

He is not doing his job as POTUS.

Because he wants to be 'Mr. Nice Guy' and get reelected.

I have no respect for leaders like that.
