I think it is nice to see that at least some Lutherans realize that we are only saved through Jesus Christ and that every other is a path to hell.

My first thought afterreading this was, the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod really needs to lighten up.

It’s a pretty safe bet that it wasn’t the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), who are theologically indistinguishable from pagans.

I know many of the principals involved, directly or indirectly. I don't think the conservatives can win this one. Benke has 3 avenues of appeal open to him, the support of everyone who matters. But Wallace Schulz did the right thing in suspending him. It is like Clinton's impeachment, an indictment that will not lead to conviction.
