President Bush arrived back in Washington today, and presented the Medal of Honor to Vietnam Veteran Captain Humbert "Rocky" Versace. Late this afternoon, the President held a press conference regarding the need for Congress to support the nation's priorities. Bush also tackled questions regarding his time at Harkin as well as to what will be addressed in his speech to Wall Street tomorrow. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Ok, I've gotta ask. What is 5.56mm? Is that a gun? If so, post a picture of it!

I also loved his response to the question about the NAACP and civil rights: "Hey, I sit across from Condi Rice and Colin Powell everyday, man." D'OH!
I'm paraphrasing a bit. It was great.

An excellent choice for the medal, though I believe that anyone who serves is a hero in some way.

McCain is a poor loser. He will never forgive Bush for standing in his way of the Presidency. Bush ended his only shot. He will continue to be a pain to Bush thoughout his Presidency.

By the way, was Senator McCain, a former POW, on hand when Rocky Versace, the first American POW to win the Congressional Medal of Honor, was so honored? Or was he too busy hatching plots with Daschle?
To: McLynnan
That was
really dumb, McLynnan!
If I can stop laughing long enough to type, I'll tell you so!

I heard that exchanged and it cracked me up. Dubya really put those reporters in their place today. I don't know how he can be so patient with them with the same stupid questions asked over and over and over.

The 5.56mm that I use as my tag line is the calibur (.223) that is used in the M16 rifle. Standard GI issue. I use it to affirm my support for the second amendment and to show that I'm a Veteran (U.S. Army).
Thanks for running this thread every day.

Oops. Sorry about the double post.

McCain is an idiot. His style of politics is purely reactive. If it's blowin' in the wind, McCain is for it. The guy is a nitwit and mentally unstable, IMHO. Thank God he isn't president.
He's just jumping on the dump Harvey Pitt bandwagon because he thinks he'll get good press. As is so often the case with McCain and the rest of the Dems, there is no substance behind their call for his resignation. He's been at the job for less than a year, is turning heads at the SEC and Wall Street, and appears to be cleaning up the mess he inherited. Sheesh...give the guy a chance.
McCain can go to h*ll for all I care.

>>>Why must the DemoRATS be full of such jealousy>>>
Because they have no agenda, no ideas, no leaders and no decency. That's why.
