President Bush arrived back in Washington today, and presented the Medal of Honor to Vietnam Veteran Captain Humbert "Rocky" Versace. Late this afternoon, the President held a press conference regarding the need for Congress to support the nation's priorities. Bush also tackled questions regarding his time at Harkin as well as to what will be addressed in his speech to Wall Street tomorrow. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

So, what were your mixed feelings about the press conference? Some said he looked irritated with all the Harkin questions. Was that it?
Personally, I kind of like it when he gets a bit peeved. I mean, my God, just how many times can they ask the same question??? What a bunch of morons.
I hate the press.

>>>What really cracks me up is that they try to come up with all of these ridiculous "schemes" and it always backfires on them>>>
Well, I want to see it backfire on them in the way of November 2002.

He looks fed up with the crap being slung around about him, his leadership and our Country. Maybe he lurks here.
Join the party, GW.

>>>I think GW always comes out looking like the adult and the reporters a bunch of spoiled kids.>>>
Well they sure look like a bunch of idiots when they keep asking him the same question over and over and getting the same answer over and over.

Well, it wasn't one of his best, I don't think. But then again, I did miss the first five minutes and only saw when he began to answer questions. He seemed agitated at times, and was looking at someone in the back of the room. Maybe he just misses Karen Hughes.

Back at ya', fellow MDers. How are you all surviving the drought?
My sister lives in TX and is getting more water than they want, and MD can't get any. Talk about reversal of fortune...

According to Bush's top economic advisor, the SEC under Bush hit the ground running with investigations. About 6 to 8 months ago the SEC was ramping up their manpower. Saw many OPM announcements for auditors. The SEC and Harvey Pitt have Daschle and others worried. BTW, as we have pointed out before, there needs to be a Robert Rubin watch. The guy has disappeared from public view, unlike so many of the Clintonistas. Since the SEC has struck gold with it's first investigations, one could summize that they are getting inside info from a Clinton official who would know dirt. I think someone is talking maybe even Spongebob Rubin. Then again, maybe the SEC is just lucky.

>>>, I think GW is one hot man. When he had that tank top on the other day, I thought I was going to hyperventilate.>>>
You aren't going to get an argument from me on that one. He looks fabulous in a tank top. If fact he is just one hot Texan.
