You just give Hillary a few more years, and see if she doesn't measure up.

Check the Whitehouse .gov site later for the transcript. Many times I read them after watching just to make sure I heard correct the first time. Check about an hour after conference is over.

I HOPE the people of this country is watching this; all the problems we have and they talk about THIS.

Why don't the reporters just combine their obsessions and ask about Harkin Pitt??
To: janee

FACE!Bush just gave some jackass reporter a history lesson; the wannabe Gotcha! Man from U.S. Snooze asked Bush to compare himself to Theodore Roosevelt...Bush said TR attacked corporate "trusts" (aka Monopolies), whereas he (Bush) was addressing a lapse in ethics!
I LOVE IT!!
To: Howlin
Oh, short short answer about the NAACP.

A question about WHY the President hasn't attended an NAACP event since 2000 - answer, because I was busy sitting in a national security meeting with Condi Rice and Colin Powell.
Bulls eye!
To: Recovering_Democrat
And then he slammed the NAACP question about his "civil rights" platform........LOL.

These reporters should take a basic accounting course. They'd be shocked! purely shocked!
I gave up on it when I found out there were 4 different ways to figure inventory, all of which could be the correct way under the right circumstances, and all of which give different numbers. SHEESH!

Press bimbo trying to equate Harkin with Enron -- asked exactly that question, what is different about it?! Bush answered that accounting can be done different ways. The SEC reviewed all of this and found nothing wrong.
Problem is not one of being big (as with the trusts in Teddy Roosevelt's day), it is a problem with ETHICS. And reemphasizes that point.
