I remember that "just check in veterans" thread. It was '98. That's when I signed on to FReeRepublic.

It's a date worth remembering for me like Birthdays, Anniversary, Enlistment date, Discharge date, etc.

Does that make me a Navy Vet as well as a FR Vet? Maybe I should get a "hash mark" and a Good Conduct Medal for my FR enlistment. Well, a hash mark at least...
