A person with only one Jewish grandparent was a second-degree Mischling.

If their maternal grandmother was Jewish, then they would be Jewish, irrespective of the ethnicity or religious orientation of the other three grandparents.

What am I. My great grandfather was an Austrian Jew who stowed away around 1880-1890 when he was 12 years old. He was taken from New York somehow to Alabama where he was raised by protestants, I think. I am not sure if he converted or not. His son, my grandfather was Baptist (foot-washing I think). I tried to figure our by Nuremburg laws what I am, but am still unsure. parsy.

If the mother is raised as a Christian, the child is a christian.
