Ummmm, President Bush cannot "present a bill" to Congress or anyone else. He is the Chief Executive and cannot create a bill because that's the job of the legislature. Didja ever take a civics class?-- You know-- 3 branches of government, each with seperate powers because that's the way the founding fathers created the government in the Constitution. Here in Texas, kids study those facts in 7th grade.

LOL I guess some people take things way too literally. I know Bush cannot directly send a bill through congress but just like his campaign items he 'presents' them through a member of congress, normally someone in his party, genius. I guess the 'Bush tax cut' wasn't Bush' then either by your logic

No one here has a problem with adult stem cells.
I knew that. I was simply giving Satadru some other sources of stem cells. Do you realize how annoying other people find your know-it-all attitude? Is it genetic or simply behavorial in origin?

You need to be asking yourself how did the Democrats get their filibuster proof majority on liberal legislations?

By using such rags as the WP and Chicago Tribune to spread propaganda (e.g this article).

Of course the initial step in the legislative process is the authorship of a bill and its introduction into Congress. Although only a member of Congress can formally introduce a bill, proposals for new laws come from many different sources, which include individual citizens, special-interest groups, newspaper editorials, congressional committees, and yes, even the Executive Branch.

While it is true that the fetal stem cell rules were inducted during the Clinton Administration, that does not exuse President Bush from taking his case against this directly to the American people. Change does not come by means of apathetic leaders, unfortunately.

Sorry, I didn't think it would trouble anyone with an IQ over 70. Bush has said before, "...I'll be sending a bill to congress...." Same type thing. It's pretty standard vernacular. Nothing in my post was verbose; it should not have been confusing at all.

"By using such rags as the WP and Chicago Tribune to spread propaganda (e.g this article)."

The Chicago Tribune is the most well-respected and subscribed to newspaper in Illinois. All the Editors on the board of the Chicago Tribune are moderate Republicans and the newspaper is not a tabloid or a "rag." The Chicago Tribune even endorsed George W. Bush for President. In fact, the newspaper is heavily read in the Chicago suburbs, including the North Shore, and even people all the way up in Green Bay, Wisconsin, subscribe to the Tribune.

The only reason you believe the Tribune to be a "rag" is because you do not happen to agree with this particular news article.

Speaking about a know it all attitude, a concerned and informed private citizen may suggest bills to their legislators, or they may study the legal format of various bills and actually submit the text of a proposed law to their representative or senators for introduction into Congress. A individual citizen can consult publications such as the daily Congressional Record for help in writing a bill. This publication and the Congressional Quarterly Weekly Report are also quite helpful as to the current legislative activities of Congress. Just for your information.

Actually, I now see that the misleading headline as presented by KFP is not the Tribunes but instead it is KFP's. I don't agree wiht this particular headline.

See, there, now you've done it! That doesn't fit in with the bushies claims. It's supposed to a bunch of lies in the Tribune. If not, then it's another one of those "Clinton's Actually to Blame" things. or maybe it's part of that master plan thing......................mmmmmm

Okay then. Believe me, the Chicago Tribune is a completely respectable newspaper and is Republican, which is a major reason why the newspaper is so popular along the North Shore and up into Lake County.

What do you mean? It is the same exact word-to-word title as the online edition of the Trib.
