I saw him with Wolf Blitzer on CNN saying that ABC lied about why he wasn't going to perform that song and he really blasted Peter Jennings. He performed the song too but I missed it.

Alot of the WW-2 and Vietnam photos I post come from researching family members histories.
One flew in a Liberator with the 44th bomb group..and took part in the raid to Ploesti.
Some veterans i have met in person..others via the Inter net.
Maybe when the right opportunity presents itself..can post some photos and info from family who saw action during the Battle of Britian and Europe with the RAF.
They are getting old...
And many leave us now..
There generation did so much....
I am glad Free Republic embraces their legacy's...
Their courage and determination lives on in us.
