As I stated in a much earlier reply, I still maintain they will announce who the shooter is only after countrywide celebrations are over, which in the case of the giant LA fireworks show could be after midnight. Lots of money and pride at stake.
However, since word is leaking out that it's an Arab, the FBI's hand may be forced to release it earlier. We'll see.
