We are rapidly becoming a third-world country. The world sees the blessings of America. They all come here. There are no more blessings for anyone. End of story.

"Many of these immigrant families seem to have a great deal of wealth," former school board president Lynn Thornton says. "They buy the larger homes so they will be able to accommodate more people." They aren't neccessarily wealthy. They get vouchers from the government which helps them to buy a house they normally could not afford. In our neighborhood, people from the federal housing department are pestering older couples into selling their houses. Houses that are paid off and where these older couple had planned to spend their retiring years. They are getting pestered to sell their houses so that the feds can bring in people who really can't afford to live in the neighborhood. Yep, two to three families and four to six cars and trucks parked out front. It's a mess and it makes the neighborhood look like crap.

But the public outcry is getting louder, prompting some experts to say that American middle-class housing standards may no longer apply in an increasingly multiethnic society. Reverse assimilation?

Thanks for the ping.
Legal and illegal immigration problems are worsening. Time to close the borders and end the welfare for illegals.

But the public outcry is getting louder, prompting some experts to say that American middle-class housing standards may no longer apply in an increasingly multiethnic society. I guess that makes it official. America has surrendered!! Our high standards have been replaced by the standards of third world immigrants.
Celebrate Americas birthday tomorrow and enjoy it. We don't have many left!!

Sounds like someone needs to get busy passing some zoning laws, and then *enforcing* them.

Six Killed in Van Crash; 33 Illegal Immigrants Were on Board".... more than 1.5 persons per room is severely overcrowded."
1.5 persons per room is not overcrowding to this group.

Santa Ana, Calif., a heavily Hispanic suburb 30 miles from Los Angeles, has tried unsuccessfully for years to stop overcrowding. When it tried to tighten occupancy standards from 10 to five in a one-bedroom apartment, courts ruled that local laws could not supersede state housing standards. Thirty years ago Santa Ana was a charming So CA community with shady streets and a small town atmosphere. Today we're not supposed to notice that its become an overcrowded third world dump.

Housing is one issue, but another I haven't seen addressed is what untrammeled immigration is going to do to car insurance. Do you think these immigrants are insured when they drive? Not likely. What happens when they cause an accident? The insurance of the other party must pay for what the uninsured driver causes. This will make insurance more expensive for those who DO buy car insurance.

But he's packing up his wife and four kids and getting out. "When we moved in, it was all Italians," says his wife, Lori, 39. "We hardly know anybody anymore."
I suppose that I can relate. Ten years ago, the mall by my house was your typical lilly-white suburban mall. Today, it looks more like an example of the United Nations. This all happening within the past five years.
