You must understand how much I love sitting in traffic...Yep... I make the mistake of taking I-64 back and forth from Newport News, even, somedays, and it's all I can do to keep myself from jumping out and hitting the pavement. So I roll all the winders down and light another smoke and turn the radio up and watch everybody getting p!ssed off, haha...

It's my uncle's pool, not mine. Otherwise I would.
I may smoke, too - but a cigar. Cigarettes just aren't for me, dude.
Have a good one, wherever you are!
FRegards,
CD

"So I roll all the winders down and light another smoke and turn the radio up and watch everybody getting p!ssed off..." I've discovered my fellow highway parkers especially like "The Who" cranked up as we wile away the hours...LOL!! "Won't Get Fooled Again" and "Baba O'Reilly" are especially popular...MUD

I'm a country music fan myself, FRiend... Toby Keith's "Courtesy of the Red White and Blue" at ungodly decibel levels. Now it don't get much better than THAT.
We'll put a BOOT UP YER A$$, IT'S THE AMERICAN WAY...!

I'm sorry, there's no metro near the park. There may be bus service, but I'm sure that the schedules are all kinds of screwy.

"I'm a country music fan myself, FRiend" Yeah, me too...is it Merle Haggard who sings "If yer tearin' down my Country, yer on the Fightin' Side o' ME!!"

I will be happy to pick you up at the Springfield Metro and give you a ride to the picnic. Unfortunately, I'll be heading south around 3:30 or so, so you'll have to get a ride back, which should be no problem at all.
FReepmail me so we can make the arrangements. I'd hate for you to miss a great party just because the Metro doesn't go to Mt. Vernon!

You owe it to yourself to be there!
If transportation is a problem, I'll be happy to give you a ride from the Springfield Metro. I already promised Aristedes a ride -- plenty of room.
FReepmail me if you are interested.

I'll bump those threads...!! He's the real thing, IMHO!! ...Great idea. George Allen is a true, "honest-to-goodness", down-home patriot. The chewing tobacco, cowboy boots, blue grass music, and pickup truck are added bonuses!OK, sounds like a plan!

Hi Mud,
Yes, I'm thinking about it. The thing is, a new friend and I have decided that we'd like to be at the base of the Washington Monument for the fireworks. I haven't been there since 1978 and there is nothing like seeing them up close and personal. But, to get there, we have to take the Metro and park our bods in our chosen space early. I don't think I can do both. Thinking about the park, though.
I'll talk with my just-moved-from-Colorado friend and decide which to do. Stay tuned.

Yo, Bro. You brought it up -- some wisecrack about Taxman needing Coors to have fun! LOL!
No way THIS Taxman needs Coors to have fun! You have me confused with some other Taxman!
I have fun everywhere I go, Bro; Coors, Jack Daniels, MGD, Thunderbird, whatever!
