I wonder if the fire was started by a fat, jilted forester, or if it was a Mexican spotted owl census-taker.

I understand your point...

but from what I hear, this was started by lightning.

this could get out of hand and cause major problems - but apparently there is a rapid escalation in fighting this fire - as evidenced by the call for a Type I incident management team.

quite a few resources already on the fire too. Hopefully temps will drop enough overnight to allow the fire to "sleep" and the firefighters to gain some headway.

Regardless of how they start, they go out of control because of the insane enviro-wacko policies of the past couple decades.

Sounds like it could be cut off.

Man just arrested as suspect in the starting of the Slow Low fire in Arizona, to no ones he is an employee of the Bureau of Land Managment.

If deadwood is cutoff in a forest, would anyone hear it?

It would be heard by the One who cut it off.

There are 7 questions in v. 3-6 below.  The answer to each is "No."

Am 3:1 Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,
2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
4 Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?
5 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?
6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
7 Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.
8 The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

Here's another:

Q:  Shall a tree burn in the forest and the Lord hath not done it?

A:  No.  He did it.  Plan accordingly.

7 square miles, approx 4500 acres according to kevn.com

Suspected lightning that started the fire.

Guess I'll bring marshmallows and weenies on vacation.

However, not every one complied in what residents said was chaos amid smoke and slurry bombers overhead.

What do you want to bet that the non-compliers were people gambling in the casinos? Just a hunch........
