It's a good thing you're interested in photography. So many people ,aren't and they rely on guys like me to do their pic taking. Which is fine with me, but it's ALL they have. Photos taken on the fly, no matter if they're good pics or not, are the most fun to look back on. In the 80's I got into video cameras and have changed from VHS, to 8mm to digital mini tape, all the while still taking 35mm pics.
I've just recently purchased a Nikon Coolpix 2500 digital camera, for better still pics. Capturing them off of the camcorder digital mini tape didn't produce a very good product, the Coolpix fixed that.
Yeah, they're great little cameras. Mama_Bear's husband, jkphoto, wants me to try one but I've just never had the desire to own one. Have a video but don't use it much. Wedding videos are great, but give me stll pics any day. The manipulation of the camera is what it's all about. I have a little old Brownie camera of my mom's. Ever had one?
"What kind of pics?"
Pics I've recently taken with Coolpix camera, I'm using a HP 710 OfficeJet, I'm going to give it to my wife because there are no drivers available for her old HP 660c in WinXP.
I'm getting one of those HP OfficeJet OJD145xi from Costco tomorrow. Man, you're really into it! LOL! "Wow! neat cars! My mother and dad gave me mine for graduation from HS. It was older but in cherry condition. Still is."
Great graduation present !!
Just shows how grateful they were I made it. LOL
Ya can't beat a "cherry" condition... !! What size engine and what kinda tranny does it have?
Big block, 4sp, 350. Oh, and the split bumper. That was a big deal bak then...so they say.
I don't drive it in winter. Nearly killed myself one night on an icy road. Too damned much power for that kind of weather.
"Geez! Twenty? I had one....and not for too long. LOL"
Yep, I got my first(a Harley) one in 1949 and my second Harley in '53 during my second marriage. Got divorced in '58, I took over the payments on my best friends '54 Vette, because he said he couldn't support my (he moved in with her) wife and make payments on the Vette...he got the wife and a rented house, I got the Vette and his old apartment...best damn swap I ever made... :o)
ROTFL!!!!!
I totaled the Vette in '59 and bought the Healey, I wrecked it in '60 and while it was being repaired I bought the Lotus and had them both until late '62...
I got married again in '63 and was sports car less and bike less until '65 when I started riding bikes again. I did buy a new Chevy Corvair Monza Turbo Spyder in '64 and had it for many years. I still ride bike, I did stop riding dirt bike in '83 though...sigh...
Blackie, I have one question....what HAVEN'T you done? LOL You've led a full life, sir.
I've had several performance cars including the before mentioned Corvair Spyder: a '34 Ford three window, chopped and channeled coupe with a full load 3/8"by3/8" stroked 59A flathead...a '50 Olds two door fastback with a '54 J2 performance engine...a '79 Turbo Capri, a '82 Z-28 four speed Camaro and currently this '01 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning:
I almost bought a little Spyder a few years back. Decided I really didn't know what I'd do with it-so didn't. "Hey, blackie, I have to split for a bit. Talk to you later. Bet we do bump this thread to a thou. LOL!"
1000 is a perfect mark to shoot for... :o)
At this rate....no prob! : )
This is the loooongest reply I've ever made. Don't make me do it a second time....PLEASE! LOL
Fine lookin' truck. : )
I like the multiple functions of the HP OfficeJet D145, it prints, copies, scans and faxes...so does the HP 710 but not as good...I use them all except the fax function.
My favorite all time Vette is the '63 spilt-window coupe, with the 365 HP 327 cid engine...
I'm really a Ford guy, the '03 Mustang SVT Cobra R with the 4.6 liter 390 HP double overhead cam engine and independent rear suspension convertible would go great with the SVT Lightning pickup and it's blown 5.4 380 (mine is 425 HP, I added a performance chip) HP an 500 feet of torque engine...
I drive the White Lightnin' year around, of course, if it gets real bad drive our '90 4X4 Eddie Bauer Ford Bronco, with it's 351 cid engine with banks shift module chip...chips anyone... :o)
Whenever I tell anyone about the wife/Vette swap, they always get off on it... :o)
Hell, I'm an old geezer and have done many things, you've only heard the tip of the iceberg...I have led a full life and it's my intention to keep on doing it... :o)
This is shorter and we'll still make a thou... :o)
I'm off for the night, time for the Mariners baseball game of FOXSPORTS...
