"This is very sad for us. Some of these people have become friends and were longtime employees," Bennett said. "The picture that is often painted is (that) these are negative people, but in this case, though some of them may be, it certainly wasn't all of them. They were very hardworking, very professional people who, yes, had bad documents."
Rolling eyes. ROFLMAO. Uh huh...bad documents.

Its planes undergo repair, modifications and painting at the Fort Worth facility Wonder how many other airlines have illegals working as airplane mechanics.

When something like deportation takes place instead of just arrest, and it begins to happen "after" the holes in the dike are plugged, I will then begin to believe that the ins and border patrol are doing anything other than a dance to preserve the appearance of doing something sort of like what we the people might expect them to be doing.

Bennett said that while all employees had provided the company documentation,...some of the documents were fraudulent..."This is very sad for us..."Yeah.
Now they'll have to start paying higher wages - and benefits. Boo-hoo.

One would think that Laura Bennett, the Spirit Airlines Spokeswoman, would choose her words more carefully. She's going to be known as a terrorist enabler & sympathizer if the Feds really do have a connection.

No, no, no. These are jobs they can't find Americans to do. After all, the illegals only do jobs that Americans won't. So there must not be any skilled Americans in the whole of Ft. Worth who would take these jobs. That's why the company had to -- as a last resort for survival -- seek illegals with bad documents.
I couldn't even type the above with a straight face! LOL

Makes me wonder... I'm hoping the Feds are combing through all airline personnel and YES, PROFILING!

Are democrats crooks and socialists? :)
To: timestax
Not necessarily. When the Feds raided a place a friend of mine worked (he had been there for 1 month) he was sent to the Fed Pen for a crime they committed LONG before he even began work there! And he was innocent.

You have to be FAA licensed to work on any aircraft (not just commercial) which reqiuires several years of apprenticeship, testing and certification.
The people in question were most likely line people responsible for fueling, towing, general clean-up etc.
All work done on an airplane must be signed off by a FAA licensed mechanic.

The guy is a woman. It really is appalling that Bennett, the spokeswoman of Spirit Airlines, is so quick to feel sorry for and defend these illegals. I'm hoping the Feds do find a terrorist connection. She just might have to splain herself to the Feds.
Regardless, me thinks this airline deserves a good FReeping.

Potential terrorists come to the United States through MEXICO.
Why doesn't washington secure the unguarded border? They don't have to close it completely just the vast streches where people go almost undetected.
