The Pledge of Allegiance is our sacred oath of citizenship. You do not have to believe in God to be a U.S. citizen. If an atheist makes this oath to a nation "under God", he is not making a true statement of belief. As long as atheists are allowed to be citizens of this country, they should not be required, in stating the official Pledge authorized by our government, to perjure themselves. The 9th Circuit decision does not make the Pledge itself unconstitutional. It simply reverts the Pledge back to the pre-1954 version, without those additional words.

Nice to see this thread still active.. you see the mere denial of the existence of God (Jesus Christ) and His divine authoity over this earth does not make it untrue... You see our founding fathers understood this to be FACT.. not just feel good politics to appease the Christians...

You can deny the existence of the law of gravity, but if you put it to the test.. no matter how sincere your belief you will find it to be universally applicapable no matter how much you like or don't like it..

Any attempt by you or any person for that matter to reject the deity of Jesus Christ will only result in your ultimate demise.. and as the scriptures so clearly point out... "in the end ALL people will acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior" the question for you my FRiend, is will you do it before it is eternally to late..

The choice is yours... I can only tell you what the Bible (God) says, its up to you to believe it or reject it..

FReegards,

David

I don't care if they don't say those words ... they can ommit them if they want. Always could IMHO. Their choice ... to my knowledge nobody ever stopped a pledge if someone wasn't saying it, or wasn't saying part of it and forced them to say it.

Just don't force me not to say them. Don't tell me it's unconstitutiomnal to say them. I'll fight that tooth and nail.
