Thank you so much for finding and posting this article. It was scary how soon after his death the title "homosexual/gay priest" was applied to Father Judge, and with no proof at all. The Firefighters loved him and he was a big part of their life inside the firehouse and inside their homes - they loved him because he loved them and their families and he was always there for them celebrating weddings, funerals and baptisms. I cannot imagine an "openly gay" priest would have been welcomed (and how would he have the time if he was so active within the homosexual agenda world) with open arms into those men's public and private lives.

Thanks indeed for putting this up. I have been very puzzled by this "gay priest" thing. I didn't know Fr. Mychal, aside from going to confession to him occasionally at St. Francis of Assisi in NYC (he was always very orthodox, btw). But it was hard to imagine that he was "gay" or that, if so, he would ever have been accepted by the guys at FDNY. I'm glad to hear the other (and probably more factual) version of the story.
