Putting Politics First, Bush White House To Provide Special Briefing

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption and abuse, expressed grave disappointment in the Bush administration’s decision to allow FBI Director Robert S. Mueller, III to be the keynote speaker at a luncheon hosted by the American Muslim Council in Alexandria, Virginia on Friday, June, 28, 2002. The Bush administration is also scheduled to provide a special briefing to approximately 30 American Muslim Council members prior to Mueller’s speech.

Meuller's chatting with the radicals while agents are sweeping the shopping malls clean of them...seems more here than meets the eye.

He was right, ma'am. Your post was the most shamelessly brown-nosing attempt at rationalization for foolishness I could imagine. No. On second thought, I couldn't have imagined it. Sorry.

Excellent posts, but the Brown-nosed blind "R" worshipers will struggle for some rationalization to villify you both.

Well, it would seem that the FBI doesn't do everything on television, to the disappointment of many here.

Yes, I guess there are still some folks who believe that the "Islam is peace" statement was something other than an attempt to keep national peace and call moderate muslims in this country to rise above the bloody scriptures of the Koran.

You have got to be joking! There is no half-intelligent person on the face of the earth who has had ANY experience with religion at all, who could believe this drivel would work to dissuade a beliver; especially a beliver in such a mindless fanatical death cult. If you really think Bush is that outrageously stupid, then why would you support him?

I swear! The wild reach of rationalization that the "R" worshipers will go to is beyond astounding!

I will be pleasantly surprised if Mueller says anything that is bluntly un-pc. That said, I'm not holding my breath.

And M2C, I don't know about UBL in particular, but if you want more info about these folks and who they support, do a search for "American Museum Council" (sic) and Hillary Clinton.

What is the suprise here? Is there a group that this Administration hasn't pandered to, other than the conservative base of course?

Helloooo, Ramadan at the "People's House", barefoot visits to Mosques...come on, please. Did this not turn anyones stomach but mine? I saw it as pandering to our enemies, during the worst moment in our recent history. The people being entertained were heads of terrorist charity fronts. Don't tell me D.C. didn't know what a housewife in Texas knew.

I swear! The wild reach of rationalization that the "R" worshipers will go to is beyond astounding!

Oh my. You are easily astounded, sir.

On the other side of that coin of astonishment I find the instant leap to conclude the worst motives and hysterically condem President Bush and anyone in his administration that does anything halfway civil in public dealings with Muslim leaders in America is just as irrational.

The anti-Republican, anti-Bush 'nukem' crowd is very vocal and easily excited but grownups dealing with life and death issues don't act like screaming idiots ever time they see a Muslim, especially those in the Bush administration. You confuse simple civility with appeasment and approval of terrorists. That's absurd and renders your ranting against Bush rather hollow, but that never stopped the anti-Bush, anti-Republican crowd before, why should this meeting - of which we know little - be any different? It's a Bush administration official meeting with Muslims; it must be evil and worse. Yada yada yada.

Maybe the meeting was a bad idea. I Don't know what happened so I can't make an honest judgement and I'll withold such judgement until I have the facts. Not that this ever occurs to the hysteria-prone nukem crowd. After all, that would be rational and take some restraint when we all know that jumping to wild conclusions and posting screaming screeds against President Bush is a LOT more fun than calm observation and fact checking. Lots more. I know this only because I see it here every time a Bush administration offical meets with some Muslim types - for any reason. This time is no exception.

Doesn't make it right or sensible but it says a lot about the folks who just want to name-call Bush administration people and any FReeper who dares to support our president. After all, Bush is a (gasp!) Republican.

And - President Bush and the US Congress honors a extremist, supremicist religious group, thier messianic leader, and thier laws:

I will redact portions of the following with XXXX in order to protect the accuseds' identity with hopes of achieving the readers unbiased opinion.

From Congress and White House [March 5, 1991]:

"Whereas the XXXX movement has fostered and promoted these ethical values and principles throughout the world;

Whereas XXXXXX, leader of the XXXXX movement, is universally respected and revered and his eighty-ninth birthday falls on XXXXXX;

Whereas in tribute to this great spiritual leader, XXXX, this, his ninetieth year will be seen as one of "education and giving," the year in which we turn to education and charity to return the world to the moral and ethical values contained in the XXXXX Laws; ".

What are these Laws? Are they in the Bible?

Encyclopedia Brittanica:"also called XXXX Laws, a ZZZ ZZZ designation for seven biblical laws given to Adam and to Noah before the revelation to Moses on Mt. Sinai and consequently binding on all mankind"

In the above, ZZZ is a holy book, but not the bible. ZZZ tells us the scriptural source of these laws is Genesis 9:7: "And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein."

And the XXX movement claims these laws are DERIVED from the above passage and others: "All of these laws are derived from specific passages in the Torah, which God gave to XXXX at Mt. Sinai."

Ok, so lets cut to the chase. What is the belief system being honored by our government? What are these laws? What are the intentions of this movement whose leader is "universally respected and revered"?

I'll let you decide, but as you read ask yourself why, in the land of religious freedom is your government endorsing ANY religious movements, leaders or laws. Thank you.

One goal of the movement you may have a problem with.

Bushs' endorsement

The Laws [in the words of this movement]

The Movements Home Page

MOST IMPORTANTLY!! an in-depth con perspective of this phenomena

I find the instant leap to conclude the worst motives and hysterically condem President Bush...

This is not me you are talking about.

The anti-Republican, anti-Bush ... crowd

Again, this is not me. You need to do a modicum of research before you fly off the handle, pal. I am a Republican and have run for major office as a Republican and have always voted Republican. And I have strongly supported Bush, but am not happy with everything he has done. However, I take exception to those who cannot bring themselves to consider any criticism of any Republican's actions, however outrageous.

Here you are talking out of your a$$ AGAIN. I didn't criticize the meeting, rant against Bush or against the Republican party. Nor am I a part of the anti-Republican crowd. I merely expressed astonishment that anyone could think calling iSLAM the religion of peace is going to induce muslims to rise above the violent teachings of the Koran. I also expressed some chagrin over the blind and worshipful faith some place in their "leaders".

... that would be rational and take some restraint when we all know that jumping to wild conclusions and posting screaming screeds against President Bush is a LOT more fun than calm observation and fact checking.

Cheak YOUR facts before posting your lying scychophantic screed against me, you moron! I did not do this crap you are accusing me of. Stop bearing false witness, if you intend to claim you are a Christian. Get it together!

Your little hissy-fit of outrage is as unimpressive as are your claims of diehard Republicanism that are belied by the following:

Your post #43 to Miss Marple:

He was right, ma'am. Your post was the most shamelessly brown-nosing attempt at rationalization for foolishness I could imagine. No. On second thought, I couldn't have imagined it. Sorry.

Your post #44 to digger, mitchelcraig:

Excellent posts, but the Brown-nosed blind "R" worshipers will struggle for some rationalization to villify you both.

Your post #47 to anniegetyourgun:

If you really think Bush is that outrageously stupid, then why would you support him?

All were sneering, contemptuous put-downs of Bush supporters in this instance. Then you followed up with your snotty name-calling post to me which served to cement the point I previously made.

Too bad if you don't like receiving the kind of criticism you so freely dole out to others, pal. I'm not impressed with your alleged resume and I'm not a moron, I just call it the way I see it and your cheesy attempt to use my Christianity against me to score some worthless debating point is beneath contempt. You took some nasty shots at Miss Marple and anyone who doesn't see it your way. I gave it back to you and now you cry "Not meeee', name-call and bluster. Boo hoo.

Grow up, pal. If you want to dish it out to others here, be prepared to deal with the blowback. You don't rule the world or own FR. You're just another anonymous person with a computer and an opinion, same as everybody else here. You made your point, I made mine. Get over it.

...use my [failure in] Christianity against me...

The light of truth hurts doesn't it. But how you crassly misconstrue my posts is your problem. I cannot give you the intelligence or education to accurately interpret a simple English sentence, nor the vision to see your own bald-faced hypocricy.

My record is public record, which you can search in Tucson and Arizona Papers. Kevin B. Shearer, Republican candidate and then elected nominee for Sheriff of Pima County, AZ in 1992. Also Republican precinct comitteeman, state committeeman campaign contributor and worker for many fellow "R"s for many years. There, now I'm not so anonymous. So you can do a little search and eat some well deserved crow, or you can just keep shooting off your oh-so-Christian mouth full of unwarranted conclusions, false witness and lying allegations.

What a puny little chest-tumping keyboard putz!
